Again the same "he's not saying nothing new" argument. Just like Tariq Nasheed "is not saying nothing new" with Hidden Colors. Do you really believe that young people of today are familiar with the Black Panthers (who no longer exist) of the 60's, 50 years ago? Or the NOI 50 years ago? Hell no. Dame was speaking on a major hip hop platform that to that point NEVER discussed finance or ownership EVER. He was able to get that message across to young people, their core audience. And truth be told if the Black Panthers and NOI were preaching that message so well 50 years, why dont we practice it? Why hasnt it been effective? It's not always about presenting "new info" or being the "first", sometimes its about just getting the message across and he did that.
That is your interpretation, plenty of working class people took no issue with what he said nor did they feel insulted or clowned. A lot have offered support, thats why I ask why are some still pissed 2 months later and others got it? His comments were directed at Envy and Charlamagne and they successfully shifted that into Dame is dissing working class people.
It should also be noted Charlamagne and Envy have had countless entertainers on their show that promote faggotry, that have dissed past civil rights leaders, that encourage excessive drug use, that promote promiscuity, that glamorize poor spending habits as a way to build self worth, and yet them 2 never displayed the fake outrage about any of that they've had towards Dame or encouraged their audience to do the same.
