Reports have surfaced that Microsoft and Rockstar Games have formed a partnership to bring Grand Theft Auto V’s Story downloadable content an entire month early on Xbox One and Xbox 360 before the PlayStation. The expansion is rumoured to be announced during Microsoft’s E3 2015 Press Briefing where it will be announced that Xbox gamers will get their hands on the expansion before anyone else.

The DLC is set to build upon the story of the three existing characters, Franklin, Michael and Trevor. It’s set after the events of Grand Theft Auto V but we’re not sure if it’s still to be set in Los Santos. The expansion is rumoured to introduce new locations to the world of Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online. Rockstar Games had originally announced the expansion would launch before the end of 2014 but pushed it back into this year to work on the definitive versions of the game for Xbox One, PS4 and PC as well as the Heists expansion. The actor who plays Franklin, Shawn Fonteno revealed earlier this year that he was finishing up DLC for GTA V. Fonteno revealed the project was on a huge scale and finishing it was a top priority for the team.

Now here’s where stuff gets very interesting. Microsoft are eager to land an early access debut of the story content for Grand Theft Auto V a full month on Xbox One and Xbox 360 before the PlayStation 4. We’re not sure when the PC version will get the DLC, but if this is true seeing as Call of Duty DLC always landed on Xbox before PC, I’m expecting a similar setup. When the DLC is announced during E3, Microsoft fans 'can expect special treatment from Rockstar'.

A similar deal was made for Grand Theft Auto IV where Xbox 360 owners got exclusive access to the games two expansions before any other platform. The Lost and Damned was 13 months exclusively on Xbox 360 and The Ballad of Gay Tony was 6 months exclusively on Xbox 360. The deal was always a timed setup and because Rockstar have got far more expensive since then with the success of recent games, it would explain why it’s only one month of early access rather than six or even a whole year.

But don't Sony have the marketing deal with Rockstar? They do indeed. However, it is possible that the marketing deal has now expired or Microsoft are willing to offer far more for exclusivity than Sony. Sony may not have had enough to renew their contract with Take Two, the parent company behind Rockstar Games. I’ve heard that Microsoft and Rockstar Games may have shook hands and that the cash may have already been exchanged.

While Microsoft are more focused on its first party line-up, the company are preparing some massive third party announcements. This is only one of the many to come. However, I wouldn’t confirm anything just yet. Take it all with a grain of salt and keep it locked for E3 this year.

What appeared to be an accidental push for an early preview of Black Ops 3, Mashable and Gameplanet have posted extensive amount of details about the game, including the first hi-res screenshots, which you can view below:

According to the preview, Black Ops 3 is set to release only on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. This will be the first Call of Duty game to release this generation that isn’t available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, if true.

New gameplay features include a class system inspired by Bungie’s sci-fi shooter, Destiny. Character “Specialists” each have two unique abilities – a special weapon and move or perk – yielding 18 different choices. Abilities range from a robot arm that can turn into a gatling gun to the power to see through walls.

The movement system is described as the most fluid yet with the ability to, wall-run, perform jetpack-assisted jumps and power slide. Though your aim might suffer, you can shoot while performing these moves.

Campaign missions are designed to be tackled co-operatively, with up to three other players in bigger and more complex level layouts against smarter enemy AI. Characters can be completely customized, including gender.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3‘s official pre-order page is now live, confirming the previous rumours that developers Treyarch will hold a beta for the game before release on current-generation consoles and PC.

The page lets you pre-order on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 from select retailers. You can also already redeem a code for beta access, though it’s unclear when the beta will go live. Launch dates are still to be determined, according to the site.

Telltale Games, the studio known for its story-focused adventure video games based on properties like Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, and Jurassic Park, has a major new partner: Marvel. Polygon reports that the first Telltale Marvel game will hit unspecified platforms sometime in 2017; it's not known which characters it will concentrate on, or how it'll fit into various iterations of the Marvel universe.

Marvel Games creative director Bill Roseman said the studio wants to make authentic games that feel "exquisite" and "sexy" with "eye-popping" visuals. Telltale's games have built up a reputation for strong episodic storytelling that lets the player alter the course of events to a certain extent, but they tend to work to a set formula — hopefully the long lead time on the Marvel project will help the team come up with something fresh.

ya man...I don't think a month has gone by w/o me getting some shit off amazon...I'm a prime member tho so free shipping...I used to clown the idea of being "lazy" enough to order shit online...but amazon is more reliable as far as having shit in stock than brick + mortar stores

@ phanatic...you might be able to get a sunset overdrive code off ebay since it was given away w/ the system...I've gotten a few games cheap off there...but again it's games that came w/ the system and owners just didn't want the code so they sell it...like AC black flag/unity...titanfall...ryse etc...if you go w/ that option do not fuck w/ a seller w/ less than 99% rating...it's also better if they have that rating + over 100 reviews and are U.S. based...and make sure they're willing to email you the code

Sounds Like Silent Hills Really Is Cancelled​

Following yesterday’s news that Konami would be pulling Silent Hills teaser P.T. from the PlayStation Store next week, director Guillermo del Toro told the audience at a San Francisco Film Society event that his collaboration with Hideo Kojima is no longer a going concern.

The news came by way of a tweet from photojournalist Matt Hackney (via NeoGAF), who was in attendance at last night’s “An Evening with Guillermo del Toro” event in San Francisco.

While del Toro’s comments don’t necessarily mean the Silent Hills project is completely cancelled—we’ll have to wait for official word from publisher Konami on that one—it certainly indicates that at least one of the driving forces behind the game is no longer involved. And with the current muddy relationship status between superstar game director Hideo Kojima and Konami, it’s likely neither is attached. Toss in an apologetic tweet from Silent Hills star Norman Reedus...

It’s crazy that such a well-received teaser as P.T. would ultimately lead to a dead end. It’s sad to think that soon all that’s left of such a promising project might be echoes of enthusiasm in a completely different game.

Konami today voluntarily delisted itself from the New York Stock Exchange, effective April 24.

Konami first notified investors of plans to delist in November and filed the notice on April 1, according to SEC documents. In today's filing, Konami notes that 99.71 percent of the trading of the company's stock over the past year occurred in Japan and London.

In the April 1 filing, Konami officials said the decision to delist the company from the New York Stock Exchange was a cost savings measure. U.S. regulatory compliance costs the company a minimum of $5 million a year, analyst Michael Pachter told Polygon.

Konami remains listed in London and Toyko, and shares can still be traded in the U.S. on the over-the-counter market, according to the release.

It's unclear what if any impact this might have on the company moving forward. In today's release, Konami officials wrote that the company will still share financial statements and other information in english, though they will no longer be obligated to under the Exchange Act.

The company will be deregistered with the SEC effective July 12. Reporting obligations will be terminated July 23.

The news comes hours after the company confirmed that it had killed off Silent Hills, the latest in the survival horror franchise. The game was to involve the work of Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro and feature the likeness of Norman Reedus.

Last month, Konami removed Kojima's name and the Kojima Productions logo from the official Metal Gear Solid websites, Twitter accounts and marketing materials. That spawned reports that Kojima would be leaving the publisher for whom he has worked his entire career.

Warner Bros. announced today that a season pass for Arkham Knight will be offered for $39.99. For six months after release, pass holders will get "new story missions, additional super-villains invading Gotham City, legendary Batmobile skins, advanced challenge maps, alternative character skins, and new drivable race tracks" strung out over the six months following release. Value-conscious gamers also have the option of the $99.99 Premium Edition, which includes the game and the season pass, a savings of no money whatsoever.
 
Gotta pick up REsident Evil this week. And yea that BatPass better be in my PS4 bundle. And it clearly says for 6 months after release. :smh:
