Official JUSTIFIED Discussion Thread UPDATE: They BACK new mini series! Justified: City Primeval

The thing I like about Justified is that what the audience wants and what the show gives you are to different things

Raylan doesn't get caught up in these duels - he is a firm believer in the first shooter wins philosophy and he always runs up against people who don quite get it.

Though Homie might have gotten to him but for the hole

So I have a feeling that Raylan is going to just walk up on Boone and shoot him - no fanfare straight Indian Jones Style

All that matters is the results ...shoot first!

Raylan shot Ty Walker in the back

The show is called "Justified" Ty was running and shooting.

Art said along time ago "What do you go around pissing people off til they want to shoot you making your killings justified?"

I think in Boone case its Raylan's reputation and swagger - Boone thinks this is Deadwood and he is going to call Raylan out - :smh:

‘Justified’ Producer Ingrid Escajeda Joins ‘Empire’ After Inking 20th TV Deal

ingrid-escajeda.jpg

Former Justified supervising producer Ingrid Escajeda has closed a two-year overall deal at 20th Century Fox Television Studios. She will develop and supervise projects for the studio, with her first assignment joining Fox’s hit primetime soap Empire as co-executive producer.

Escajeda, whose pilot script about the LAPD bomb squad got the attention of Justified executive producer Graham Yost and led to a four-season stint on the FX series, recently sold a drama to CBS/20th TV Studios that kick-started her deal with the studio. Her first network sale is set in a suburban Texas county where the cold-blooded assassination of the district attorney means the ascension of Gaby Ortiz, a formidable young prosecutor. Under assault by the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas, narco cartels and rampant corruption, she must resurrect the county’s crumbling law enforcement effort, with little more than her defiant will and the support of her extraordinary extended family. Escajeda is writing the script and executive producing with Jonathan Levin.

“We’re always on the lookout for the boldest, most original voices, and we had a great development experience with Ingrid earlier this year that convinced us we wanted to be in business with her exclusively,” said Jonnie Davis, 20th TV’s president of creative affairs. “We introduced her to [Empire executive producer/showrunner] Ilene [Chaikin] and they hit it off immediately, so this deal both helps make sure Empire has the best resources to continue to thrive creatively and allows Ingrid to develop her own projects down the road.”

Escajeda is represented by UTA and Echo Lake Management.

I love it because it was the first time Kat lost her cool the whole time we seen her, Mikey had her scared as fuck. Then he didn't choke her, he broke her damn wind pipe.

He had been shot Twice and when he lifted her over his head I was like

if i were there id have figured out some way to blow the back out before it all started

"Good news Jenny Here You got to leave her firing chamber empty, avoid an accidental discharge. Bad news her chambers full of promise now."

"Aw shit he still kicking, thats the risk you run going for a head shot Loretta. But i figure you never know when one of these pussies are wearing Kevlar, right? Always go for the brain"

"I dont give a shit about what you said...Im an outlaw"

Boyd: Why you wanna kill me so bad Raylin? You dont even know why. Boyd Crowder must die, thats just the lie you tell yourself for the win.

Raylin: you the empire of lies.

Boyd: Just say it Raylin I want to win!!!

Boyd: You dont know whats in your own heart. You given up everything you are just so you can murder me.

Raylin: I cross the line with my eyes wide open.

Boyd: Whose eyes you gone see when you kill me Raylin? Yo daddies? Your baby girls? Imagine the look on her face the day she realizes, my daddy spent his whole life trying to walk the line and failed.

"You sure you dont want me to kill you Raylin, keep you a hero"

^^^This right after Dude tried to convince Boyd not to kill him.

Markim: You just let him lay there and bleed?

Boone: Was I suppose to take him to the hospital?

Boone is so fucking awesome!

Man I hope next week never come. It cant end. :smh:

Cuz we may have to do a live bgol commentary when the finale ends....

My heart is breaking knowing not only is this show over but also because it never received the accolades it so richly deserved.

That one scene of Raylan walking the bearded man up the side of the mountain and then signing over Arlo's house was a damn mini-movie. The was a complete character and story arc with tension back story and great dialogue. Beginning ending resolution.

Boyd scene in the truck..that speech was a a perfect.

A complete and honest monologue from the character's soul.
Basically addressing Boyd motivation and the audiences love of not only Boyd but anti-heroes and all the Boyd/Rayalan analysis.

One last fuck you to Arlo.

damn...he was such a driving force of nature throughout this show...

wish they could have shown some flashback young Arlo episodes before the ride was over.
I always got the impression Arlo was a loser, an asshole that couldn't get out of his own way -IMO Arlo's greatest impact is his relationship with Raylan - the fallout from that drives who Raylan is and in a very twisted way the fallout has lead to the destruction Arlo's rivals enemies and false friends.

I would like to see Markham's s or The Bennets

giving away our lows house seemed like a good deed, but it was really spawn out of Raylan not wanting to deal with it rather than a good deed. Raylan Givens is a good guy or a bad guy he just plays the middle. he saved constable Bob rather than try to get Boyd Crowder, but he's still not a good guy

also, I didn't see any Rachel the past episode. I want to see my chocolate princess one more time.

Raylan is a good guy (the modern definition at least) just a tragic hero. Boyd lost his moral compass if he ever had one.

One Him saving Bob. Ralyin has had two Fathers and two friends. The man in the hat Arlo Shot and Bob. He wont let Bob die because he actually considers Bob a friend.

On Fathers Like fam stated above, Arlo is the driving force behind Raylin's personality and "Boyd's broken moral compass" only became an issue because BO destroyed Boyd's faith in anything.

I think Raylan left to save Bob, because he saw that Boyd left blood on the tree,

1. Boyd's wound reopened or Bob had tagged him
2. either way he is bleeding, so I can track him after I see to Bob

I want to see Rachel one more time as well...., I was thinking about if the execs at FX wanted to piggyback off Justified and have a new show focusing on the deputy's kind of like how TNT had The Closer and then that show ended and Major Crimes debuted with most of the same characters.

Markham telling Katherine on her death bed "why couldn't you listen once" ...every man understood him

Boone is the shit, should have introduced him earlier

Loretta is gonna run Harlan county, she's crafty

Those hillbillies came out of those trees like redneck SWAT

Ava's uncle had the Wile E Coyote acme dynamite strapped to his chest

Eli called Boyd Billy The Kid ...then got shot.

Wynn Duffy sitting like Forest Gump at the bus stop

i think it would be better to do a prequel...

with his pops and boyd pops as the main characters...

maybe mags bennett ...shit even markham

basically all the old heads...show how they came up...limehouse too...he`s old enuff...

that shit would b fiyah...

The preview for the next episode Boyd is perfectly fine.

Why is it so hard to believe that Raylin actually likes Bob?
Boyd isn't fine... he isn't dyeing but he is bleeding
they showed that he left blood on the tree during the shootout with Raylan...
come-on, dude was shot and blown up in less than 24 hours...

No doubt Raylan likes Bob, but he didn't make the move to help Bib until he saw blood on the tree
