I wanna buy this property on southside, 6.5 acres, house has a big tree laying across it so it's dilapidated. I would buy it, put a doublewide trailer on it, live in trailer and work on rebuilding the house in phases.

You ain't lyin! I did a comparison calculator and although housing is less, my salary here is at least $15,000 more here but doesn't go as far. I live decent but if I only had to throw a couple hundred at housing I'd be retired early.

Yup. We got lucky back in 09, found a short sale home about to go into foreclosure, got an awesome deal, took a home equity loan on my NY home, put that down on my FL home.
House needed a little work, but only cosmetic updates. We live in a quiet safe neighborhood too.

1360 SF, 3 bedroom, 2.5 baths, 2 level townhouse in Western Loudoun County = $2300/m including taxes

There are many homes that we closed for $40k just 2 3 years ago that are now selling for $90k. Most people missed the boat in 2010-2013.Nice!
