I disagree with your line that you can't have PTSD until the war is over. PTSD occurs when the person took on more than they can handle and fall off the cliff of reality. It can occur at any time, and it's never the same for everybody.
the fact that they lived through the world when it was at its worst and survived together, killing zombies, killing people when necessary, they knownthe world isn't for the relaxed anymore. you relax, you die. that's it
they aren't safe. As a matter of fact, they are dangerous. there is a reason why you don't take someone green into a combat zone without any prior training. You do that and they start acting like Jack Spade from I'm gonna git U Sucka, "They shooting! They shooting!" because they've been trained for combat, but have never been in it. those fools ran, and they were willing to leave anybody, even if the situation wasn't dire. it happened with the crew that went with Glenn, and it happened with the crew that went with the redhead army dude.

even when Rick and the crew were in the prison, they never let their guard down. Ever. they were not safe, even behind those prison walls. the difference is these people are acting like the war is over, and it's not by a long shot. there are still landmines all around, people killing people, people stalking people tying them to a tree for the zombies to eat, and some crazy sob carving W's into zombies heads and sending them free - this ain't no time to walk a damn dog.
(I did think that Sasha was going to accidentally shoot one of the wooden stanchions causing the wall to fall down though)

They can't keep relying on that formula. There's got to be more to increasing suspense, drama, and interest than killing off a fan favorite in some random gruesome way. They need more wanton violence, sex, and action in this bitch. It's as if the elements that set this show apart from 'lesser' zombie fare like Z Nation are now causing them to lag behind in key ways.guess next week's season finale will"piss a lot of fans off" according to the actor who plays Abraham..
