If that was his only relevance then he would be boasting and bragging about it to ride that wave. Dame dash was not respected as a hip hop mogul because he was jay z side kick, so now they are apart it makes no sense to marginalize him as just jay z partner.

The people that are checking for dame dash aren't checking for him because he used to know jay z......

in the spirit of the examples you gave lebron in particular you said it was basically out of pocket asking lebron about his friendship with west especially since its common knowledge about west's affair with lebrons mother. Thats specific info of a personal nature. So yes it would be out of pocket to go there.

In jay and dames case there is no info or rumor of any personal issues that caused the split and I didn't mention there was.. what there is info in jayz own words on what went down:

Now I don't know about you..but if that quote is true then that sounds like BUSINESS to me. As such it makes it fair game to ask dame about how he and jay met.

Businesses don't fail just because. Many fail because the person opening the business was in over their head for one reason or another.
Not assessing the market for what they are offering.
Lack of planning.
Trying to do everything by themselves.
Lacking business savvy.
Fucking up the money
etc.....................................

In a thread where the one of the two dominant topics of discussion has been black empowerment/cooperative economics....this statement is borderline retarded. No....working exclusively for whites is not the only option. If those black people who choose to build businesses are successful, I would hope that at least part of the goal there would be to employ other black people and strengthen our communities.

And that was my point, we need A LOT more black business owners if you expect that last sentence to happen. Cuz the reality is very few black people if any work for other black folks. Most EXCLUSIVELY work for whites, and want to keep it that way. You got dudes in here talkin bout all businesses will fail, others passionately attacking Dame, mofos just want to consume. I agree. And the positive that comes out of this thread will hopefully spark further dialogue about how to do that. But the business minded in this thread have tried to lift Dame above his own clownassness...as if he's somehow exempt from criticism for the plethora of contradictory bullshit that came out of his mouth in this interview because he made one point that has validity beyond his terrible expression of it. I guarantee you Dame gave white people more money than you did today and thought about it less than you did.

Again you are doing exactly what Dame Dash did and that is to use a broad stroke to label individuals. I have an entire thread of content about my business that I have been running for years while also helping other get there business off the ground. So I have first hand knowledge.

To use the your liquid assets to front the cost of opening a business is extremely risky. A typically business have the following cost

Store Front
Payroll
Software
equipment
Insurance
supplies
advertising cost

These can all be very costly and without capital to allow the business a chance to work a business Owner who invested his money can bleed through cash quickly resulting in the early closing of a business. Additional cash from an investor would allow an owner to weather the storm

A business owner who wants all control or cares more about power than generating wealth typically fail. Not using an investor simply because you want to recoup every dollar is silly. I would rather give a percentage to investors and make 100 million than put up my on money where I may $100 thousand.

its going to take a sacrifice and struggle....but you have to be smart about when and how long you struggle....

a job is nothing to shit on for the time that its needed....

the ultimate goal is to be an entrepreneur but some times learning and saving capital through employment has its place for a period.

This is far from the truth. You can be the most prepared and organized person in the world with the drive and knowledge of 20 men and still fail.

Man what are you rambling about? No one said black businesses are bad. Not one single person in the thread has made that statement. So what are you talking about? People clearly stated Dame Dash was ear hustling trying to sell bullshit while offending damn near all the people who he needs to buy his product.
