Cops on duty don't get indicted for murder. When was the last time something like that ever happened. So it's not a surprise that this would have been the outcome. In the case where the shooting was questionable, the burden of proof lies with the prosecution to prove the shooting wasn't done in self defence. Which sometimes is next to impossible cause u can't really prove that a cop wasn't in fear of his or her life when they fired or discharge their weapon at someone resulting in death. So this outcome is not a surprise.

Of course he was. It was self defense when Wilson was assaulted him initially. None of that explains who he was chased down and shot 6-10 times, including several after surrendering.
