Part of growing pains, at this point of the season they are better off losing these types of games preventing them from getting too cocky and thinking they can run over anybody they want at will... They played the best defense so far, and they are finally learning to take what the defense is giving them.. But we will not see the best of the Cavs until they figure a way to get Miller involved and stretch out the floor more, once they do that they will have better spacing and then they will be able to get much needed seperation..Damn....Tough loss. They had it.

Both teams played very well, and I think other than a few mental mistakes and some really bad rolls of the ball in the rim in Irving and LeBron lay ups, the Cavs played much better... Also they gave up five points right before the half, with a very weak line up on the floor, their coach most learn not to take the foot off the throttle especially at the end of quarters..
They are saying the Cavs need to make another move someone like Ray Allen... I think they need a defensive 2 guard/ sf one with height and long arms (Corey Brewer)....
Right now they are very very close to being a championship team, they just have to add a role player or two who can help them in certain situations..

I don't think Kyrie is a fit with Lebron
They are still feeling each other out but I can see them getting better with time.. They just have to find the right mixture of freestyle, controlled pg with out losing his natural aggression.. I think the smart move was moving LeBron to the point forward essentially making Irving another sg..
If they did get Brewer, or someone like him, they could slide James to pg, have Irving play 2 and have Brewer close out at the three spot..

On paper it may make sense, but I'd rather go after a 2/3 defense specialist and keep Irving ability to explode being a spark plug when LeBron is cold or on the bench... The Cavs fucked up by sitting James, Irving and Love all at once, towards the end of the half, allowing the Spurs to run off 7 strait points..
Right now they are still trying to figure out their parameters what they can do and what they can't do..

The Cavs have gone through different stages, so far this year, first Irving shot too much, then there was a game where LeBron carried the team and took most of the shots, now they are at the point where they are trying to maximize both LeBron and Irving points by switching up when Irving gets hot and feeding him... The next level of progression is for the Cavs to understand and recognize adjustments defenses are making on them and feed their player accordingly..
But the offense will work itself out, right now the emphasis is on their defense in particularly their weak side perimeter help along with their pick and roll assignments. To their credit the Cavs stepped up their "D" big time vs one of the most sophisticated offenses in the NBA, last night.
Once they work out the kinks to their defense, then they can place the emphasis on getting all those moving parts to their offense to mesh together as one.
