@@@Official Cavs thread 2014-2015@@@

Damn....Tough loss. They had it.

:(
Part of growing pains, at this point of the season they are better off losing these types of games preventing them from getting too cocky and thinking they can run over anybody they want at will... They played the best defense so far, and they are finally learning to take what the defense is giving them.. But we will not see the best of the Cavs until they figure a way to get Miller involved and stretch out the floor more, once they do that they will have better spacing and then they will be able to get much needed seperation..

Another thing, they have to cut down on those bounce passes in the paint, it seems like they give up four turn overs a game with that shit, and it always seems like the opponents cash in for a score immediately after..

Cavs ain't up for you guys. Hell, if Lebron had his way, he'd have simulated the fucking game. These the matches you give a fuck about in 2k15. The Cavs are up for the Bulls, Heat, and a few other teams(meanwhile, every team wants to be the Cavs). He is wants the playoffs to get here.

But in order to win, they will need to start taking teams like Denver more seriously.

:smh:

No excuse famo. I never let any team get away with that nonsense. It don't matter if you get "up" for a team or not but you don't let a team that you feel better than come and cook you in your own arena. If you think you're a superior team but you lose, well....

Keep telling yourself that:lol:

Both teams played very well, and I think other than a few mental mistakes and some really bad rolls of the ball in the rim in Irving and LeBron lay ups, the Cavs played much better... Also they gave up five points right before the half, with a very weak line up on the floor, their coach most learn not to take the foot off the throttle especially at the end of quarters..

They are saying the Cavs need to make another move someone like Ray Allen... I think they need a defensive 2 guard/ sf one with height and long arms (Corey Brewer)....
Right now they are very very close to being a championship team, they just have to add a role player or two who can help them in certain situations..

I'm say this I think he should closed the game out with Marion on Duncan and Andy on Diaw...but he subbed Love back in(I understand the sub, only Pop roll with his subs in crunchtime)

I don't think Kyrie is a fit with Lebron

They are still feeling each other out but I can see them getting better with time.. They just have to find the right mixture of freestyle, controlled pg with out losing his natural aggression.. I think the smart move was moving LeBron to the point forward essentially making Irving another sg..
If they did get Brewer, or someone like him, they could slide James to pg, have Irving play 2 and have Brewer close out at the three spot..

Marion is a very capable defender, they just have get better in these the situations...

Fuck looking outside, the have more than enough capable players...they just have to get the rotations and communications down.

In the 2nd quarter, some on the bench was yelling "force Diaw left", let's just say that never happened.

Kyrie for Rondo it only makes sense

On paper it may make sense, but I'd rather go after a 2/3 defense specialist and keep Irving ability to explode being a spark plug when LeBron is cold or on the bench... The Cavs fucked up by sitting James, Irving and Love all at once, towards the end of the half, allowing the Spurs to run off 7 strait points..
Right now they are still trying to figure out their parameters what they can do and what they can't do..

Yea if you think Irving needs the ball to be effective, what the fuck do u think Rondo needs. He may spread the ball better, but what happens when Lebron controls the ball, and dudes cheat off Rondo because he cant shoot worth a shit.
Will help with their perimeter defense though, ill give them that.

The Cavs have gone through different stages, so far this year, first Irving shot too much, then there was a game where LeBron carried the team and took most of the shots, now they are at the point where they are trying to maximize both LeBron and Irving points by switching up when Irving gets hot and feeding him... The next level of progression is for the Cavs to understand and recognize adjustments defenses are making on them and feed their player accordingly..
But the offense will work itself out, right now the emphasis is on their defense in particularly their weak side perimeter help along with their pick and roll assignments. To their credit the Cavs stepped up their "D" big time vs one of the most sophisticated offenses in the NBA, last night.
Once they work out the kinks to their defense, then they can place the emphasis on getting all those moving parts to their offense to mesh together as one.
I always thought that we wont see this team where it is supposed to be, until after the all star game, by then you can expect a personnel move or two to tweak the Cavs roster..

Man y'all trying fucking up the one thing they've finally got right...

Rotation which is allow game chemistry to develop.

I'm a huge fan of Rondo, but Kyrie is showing he can run the team along side of Lebron.
Kevin and Waiters are still getting pretty decent attempts

Rondo affect the game in more categories and shit that's not on the stat sheet than Kyrie

LeBron James Is Basically A Player-Coach - And It's Getting Awkward For The Cavs

LeBron James has more power than anyone else in the NBA.
We saw it when he went to Miami and doubled the value of the franchise. We saw it this summer, when he single-handedly halted free agency until he was good and ready to announce which team he wanted to play for. We saw it when he convinced Kevin Love to come to Cleveland. We saw it when he signed an unusual contract that gives him an unmatched degree of leverage.

And now we're seeing it in the way he has positioned himself as the player/teacher/mentor/coach of the Cavaliers.
The dynamic between LeBron and David Blatt is like nothing else in the NBA. Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo described it as a "partnership" where both are responsible for the direction of the team.

"Together, they have to incorporate Love into the offense," Woj writes. "Together, they have to find a defensive tenacity that'll sustain them in the postseason."

LeBron occupies a space between a player and a coach right now. In his column, Wojnarowski said it felt like Blatt and LeBron were "co-coaches" on the sidelines on Wednesday night against the Spurs.

ESPN caught a bunch of footage of Cleveland's huddles, and "co-coaches" seems like an apt description:

It's best Cavs deal with the hard shit early in the season. By the time shit gets rolling, they've been there and done that with the negative distractions.

Cavs lost by 2 to the reigning world champs who've been playing together since forever and people are calling for the coaches head?!?!

No doubt but he's only 11 games in to his career, trying to gel a team full of star players playing together for the first time. He's trying to gel 3 alpha males which isn't easy,.. 11 games in tho...

They hired that kat before LB even got to Cleveland. I'm sure if they knew LB was coming to Cleveland, they would have chose someone else.

Good coaches establish themselves from day one no matter who in the team

I don't think the cavs would've hired this coach had they known Bron was going back to Cleveland

Don't have a dog in this fight but I'm just trying to play the Devil's Advocate... Didn't Spol struggle his first 15-20 games, and eventually the shit righted itself? They may have hired someone else but who? Now, if it's February, and he's struggling, no doubt it's a problem but the season isn't even a month old yet. Just think it's a bit premature, calling for his job...

A certain Miami coach was new and had to learn on the job :dunno:

The biggest problem Cleveland has is lack of depth and defense

Pat Riley.

The chain of command in Miami was strong. Cleveland as an organization sucks in comparison.

If I'm not mistaken, Kevin Love has not truly committed to Cleveland? If that is the case, then I don't see this coach lasting too long. They'll get into the play-offs regardless if he is coaching or not. LB is going to coach them into the play-offs.

True, just like Lebron is pulling his ring card now, Pat pulled his then. He kept Lebron in line. Otherwise, he will try to coach both on the floor and off.

When Lebron says he knows how to win in the NBA, he is actually firing shots at both his coach and teammates.

The main problem I witnessed wasn't between Lebron and Blatt, it was Irving and Blatt. It seems like he can't even get Irving in line. Lebron had to do that.

If any NBA superstar can be a player-coach, it's Lebron.
