10 Producers Accused of Making the Same Beat Over and Over Again

Nigga every track that Primo ever produced is the same..I believe at the start of a session he imports all the stems from the previous session and just tweaks the shit a little.

He's goes to the artist famous track and take a saying and makes the hook with the best

Easy as 1 2 3

d'Evils the same as Right where u stand and that other song skillz

That's Carlos McKinney a/k/a Los. Not Dream. Same cat that produced Shawty is a 10, Trading Places, etc. which all have pretty much the same sound as Bed and Purple Kisses.
i'm surprised cole didn't know that. i heard for years that the other guy did all the work. dream is more so the writer/arranger though, if i'm not mistaken.

don't act like you haven't lol

I'm surprised Dr. Dre didn't make this list. Go listen to "Dre Day", "What's My Name", and "Can't C Me" and tell me it's not the same sample each time.

Khalid??? He can't even turn a mpc on. He don't make shit. He a fraud. He can't dj for shit either. He a wack ass terroist.

Can't DJ? Fuck you talking about??

i absolutely love timbo and definitely have been influenced by his work but diverse and creative, idk about all that.

when a producer has a go-to pattern or chord or melody, they can hide that shit from the layperson but producers know and that to me removes that whole most diverse shit. but timbo's samples and drums are def creative. he just uses them over and over. i studied him so much early on that i can tell when he did some shit or when danja or those other two cats whose name escapes me right now did.

man when banner did rubber band man that's all they wanted. his best shit has never even been released.

Since you've studied Timbaland, did he ghost-produce these tracks? Or only did the drum programming?

Swizz tracks go in the gym. Ain't too many cats messing with his percussion. Same with Preme.

Damn near every hip hop producer has a core sound. Especially when they produce whole albums. And do 100s of beats.

Bro swizz's shit was mostly pre programmed presets! Stop it...and preme is boom bap all the time. Shit even Dre had weak ass percussion...percussions is shit like Timbo and Pharell

Where you plugged at Shaddy?

I'm surprised so many people like swizz beats

for me it's like a 1 hot track every 10 song average since that ruff ryder's volume 1

and dame and irv were the stars on it's dark and hell is hot.

i bite my tongue most times cause it sounds like im hating but it ain't my intent i don't hate swiss it just feels like if his people weren't who they were, we would never know who he was

No bro, you are part of the masses. Since the Ruff Rhyders came out mad people thought swiss was trash but the RR movement was so strong. You either had to miss out on a gang of dope MCs or bear with the terrible cheesy production... Most people chose the latter.

This. I never liked swizz's beats. Maybe 1 or 2.

i rock out to 95% of the songs listed at the gym, i think part of it is his ad libs and the artist do a good job on his beats

One example and now, Swizz made most of his beats off presets.:smh:

Dre's drums/ percussion was never weak. Ever heard SOC? And then you compare primarily R&B producers to hip hop producers. Preme made an all time great hip hop beat out of water droplets. He is boom bap. That's his shit.

Swizz got that percussion on smash too and that's the bottom line. You can not like it, but it's the truth. As far as percussion, I'm talking about clarity, arrangement, rhythm, and sequence of drums. Those weren't presets. Not too many cats messing with that.

And any producer that is in high demand "recycles" beats. From Easy Mo Bee to Kay Gee.

A lot of producers do that when they trying to have a signature sound, so listeners can recognize them by the production without having to check to see who produced it. Swizz Beatz just kept his beats far too similar that he became boring.

Yea, some artists are followers
During that era 90 percent of them were. The formula was spend 75 percent of your album budget on the hottest producer, the rest on features of the hottest artist and video..boom platinum.

Bro you can like Swizz all you want but his tracks were cheesy and trash. Do a survey and most will say the same. Swizz got the fame because of the artist that laced his beats not the other way around. His percussions were presets laced together in patterns, all he did was let one pattern run for 8 bars and then threw another pattern in there the next 8 bars.
As far Dre and his percussion!? Come one man! Same shit every track that he actually produced. Boom-Clap-Boom-Clap. Fucking Battle Cat was more diverse than Dre's boring ass.

As far as Preme, yep you are on that "Legend" brainwashed shit. Just cause Gangstarr was tight doesn't give Premo a fucking pass. His shit is dated and has never changed. Thing is, his shit been dated for damn near 20 years...he is a lazy nigga that never evolved. Stay gripping niggas nuts just because it makes you feel hip-hop. I bet you think LL is the GOAT too huh?

Alchemist is nice bruh. Swiss is ass. Ruined some great joints man. SOme ill rappers spit over his wack ass beats

He didn't make that or High for Styles P. His sampled records he buys from unknown cats. I know the nigga he paid 20k for the Get High beat. Nigga from the A.

AND he stole "Fancy" from a dude named Baby Grand off a beat tape.

Anytime u hear a sampled record by Swizz, just KNOW he didn't do it.

Definitely Mustard. But Swizz for instance might do a couple of rap beats that sound like he did them all in the same week, so they have the same vibe, but if you take his R&B work into account, they may have the same sound so you recognize the author, but not so much that it's lame.
