the sad thing is that the people who think that the incident in the store is in any way justification as to why he was shot, have already made up their minds about it and won't be swayed by something like this.

I'll be honest, I think the reason for releasing the video of the alleged non-lethal weapon owned robbery is twofold.
1. The police chief released it to get the heat off of his back and because they want to paint Brown as a violent thug unworthy of protesting and our time. Basically, that they are getting heat over a thug.
2. I'm pretty sure that the video wouldn't be allowed to be entered into court because of several issues pertaining to relevancy and most importantly the prejudicial effect on the minds of the jury. What would be in issue is the officer's state of mind and its already been said/proven that the officer didn't know about the robbery. We are looking at intent/knowledge/actions. This was released because it most likely wouldn't be allowed in court and essentially helped taint the minds of the jury pool. But I could be completely wrong
