I'm gonna slap a kid if I hear "Tomb Raider started on the Playstation" one more time. As if a lot of franchises didn't start anywhere else like Mega Man, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, etc. But I wonder if Microsoft bought that stock in Square that Sony sold recently.

EA needs to start promoting EA Access heavily before Madden. There won't be a Madden demo but if you signed up for Access you can play the full game 5 days early for an unspecified amount of time. They could make a killing if they give out Double XP for anyone who signs up to play Battlefield Hardline early. Looking forward to the 2 hour head start on Dragon Age.

I was telling these guys on here Quantum break was the game to look out for, and they said nah Infamous :lol:

Quantum Break looks like a new max payne, nothing really special about it. I expected more from the trailer/live action debut it had.

I'm pissed at this decision. I have no intention of purchasing an Xbox One in the coming months. I have plans for my future income that doesn't include purchasing one. My issue is that I don't want to be told that I must spend hundreds of dollars to play a game that didn't start out as an exclusive. I'm so glad I didn't buy that definitive version of the game for PS4. I might have burned someone's property down if I bought that game, expecting the sequel on PS4.

If I want to play Halo or Gears of War or any other new IP that is an Xbox One exclusive, I know I have to pay the entry fee. As much as I liked Tomb Raider, it isn't that special a game for me to run out to the store for an Xbox One on its release date. If there is a reasonable expiration date to the exclusive contract, I'll wait it out, unless I get an Xbox One for some other reason. If I have an Xbox One in the future, I'll just buy Tomb Raider used to make sure Crystal Dynamics doesn't get another sale under their belt.

Then you just don't play Tomb Raider as well as other games. I don't want a PS4 anytime soon so I just don't play inFamous. Shit happens. Microsoft promotes a multiplatform game and they are ridiculed. They pick up a big exclusive game......and they are ridiculed more. They can't win in this situation.

Microsoft will release an Xbox One media player with support for a wide variety of file formats and playback from USB devices and DLNA media servers "soon," the company announced today.

The upcoming Media Player app will debut in a preview of an Xbox One system update with support for files on USB storage. Microsoft will later add the capacity to stream media from a network-based home media server that supports DLNA protocols. The Xbox One "will support more formats than Xbox 360," according to Microsoft. Compatibility with formats such as MKV, animated GIF and MPEG-2 TS will be added to the Media Player app "by the end of the year." You can see the full list, which boasts more than 30 file formats, on the Xbox Wire.

Once it is released, the Media Player app will fulfill a promise Microsoft made shortly before the launch of the Xbox One last November. Back then, Microsoft said it was working to make the console DLNA-compatible, an announcement the company made after Sony confirmed the PlayStation 4 wouldn't support DLNA servers or audio CD playback.

Microsoft also said today that markets set to receive the Digital TV Tuner, an accessory the company announced last week for Europe, will be able to stream television from their console to their smartphones and tablets using the Xbox One SmartGlass app. The feature will allow users to pause and rewind live TV, and change channels, without interrupting gameplay on the console. And soon, TV-watching Xbox One owners will be able to set their console to boot directly into TV mode.
