Correct. Family takes care of families. The roles aren't there like they should be. Now the men should be front and center saying that they aren't going to accept this type of assault on the children they're caring for.

I'm not as opposed to the looting of these non black owned stores as I felt I'd initially be.
These companies/businesses have moved into our communities and have willingly and gladly taken our money for years. Have they been championing our causes and the causes of the people in that community? Have they spoke out about mistreatment of minorities in these communities where they willingly take our money to law enforcement? Have they went to the local PD and asked them to treat the people in that community, THEIR customer base, be treated respectfully? Hell have any of them said anything about it since it happened?
It has to be a two way street....if they demand the police in that community protect their business they in turn must demand the patrons of their businesses be protected as well.

I feel the exact same way. Burn all that shit the fuck down. The whole praying, marching, begging CACs for equality shit is played out and don't work. Sometimes straight up violence and the threat of (white) bloodshed is the only way to get results. Cops will think twice about this shit if they know in the back of their minds it will lead to weeks of civil unrest, expensive property damage, and CACs afraid to go to work or leave their homes. That's a lot more than they bargained for. I think the way the black community is handling this in STL will get better results than the Jena 6 marching, Trayvon marching that people forget about in a week.
It's not going to change until we are ready to die for equality, for our rights to be free black men and women that are able to walk the streets no matter how fucked up or ratchet we may be,, that's our shit and we own it.
