Aldon Smith officially receives 12-day jail sentence + probation



"A judge sentenced Smith to 12 days in county jail with a one-day credit, according to a court document obtained by NFL Media from public information officer Joseph D. Macaluso. However, that sentence can be served on work crew on Mondays, starting July 28. That would mean Smith would have to show up for work crew the day after some games."

"He also receives three years probation, a $2,000 punitive fine, 235 hours of community service and cannot possess guns or ammunition during probation. The weapons charges were reduced to misdemeanors."

LaMichael James Injury: Updates on 49ers RB's Elbow and Return


Training camp injuries are every team's worst nightmare, and it appears the San Francisco 49ers are the newest victim of that fate. Again. At the same position.

Just days after Kendall Hunter tore his ACL, fellow running LaMichael James went down with an injury that forced him to be carted from the field, per The Sacramento Bee's Matt Barrows:


Rapoport added how much time the 49ers expect James to miss via Mike Coppinger: "James is expected to miss a month, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per a source informed of the prognosis."

With Hunter lost for the season, it looked as though James and rookie Carlos Hyde were the front-runners to back up veteran Frank Gore. The third-year product out of Oregon, who entered camp at a bulkier 208 pounds, according to 49ers.com's Taylor Price, was already starting to create buzz out of camp.

That added strength, along with his breakaway speed and elusiveness, makes him a tantalizing weapon, not just lining up behind the quarterback. He's also a dynamic kick returner, capable of making plays in space.

“There’s a lot of things we can do with him,” offensive coordinator Greg Roman said of James, via Price. “He’s a multi-dimensional player.”

While the severity of this injury is unknown, the timing is unequivocally awful with his role assuredly set to increase.

As Bleacher Report's Dan Hope noted, focus now turns toward the second-round pick out of Ohio State:


With Gore set to enter his 10th season (and potentially ninth straight with 200-plus carries), it becomes more important to give him rest as the season wears on.

If James' injury turns out to be serious, it looks like Hyde will be the major factor in getting Gore that rest. The talented youngster's role continues to quickly grow.

From what I've been reading the defense is killing it....

TJ Ward is nailing guys like its the regular season

Demarcus Ware is unblockable,but hurt himself alittle,so they're going to limit him.

Aqib is healthy so far....Ironically,him and Chris Harris were teammates at Kansas

They is taking their time with Von,they don't want him to get hurt...again


Chris Harris,Rahim Moore,Derek Wolfe,Kevin Vickerson,Von, and Ryan Clady is healthy for the most part.....


We're still trying to get our offensive line straight,since Clady is back from injury...We moved Franklin from Right Tackle to Left Guard this season...he's still trying to adjust to that...


Montee Ball improved his pass blocking,so far this training camp....They are very high on him this season..


Every time,I'm reading something about what's going on at camp,reporters are saying Cody Latimer is killing it....Some are saying he might be the #2 receiver by the end of the year..


Bradley Roby is struggling just alittle bit,but the coaches was expected that from what I understand...it mostly due to ball awareness...he don't look for the ball


We actually got depth,from what I understand...I hope so,because we really needed it,especially after that debacle in the Superbowl...


And Kevin Vickerson said.....FUCK THE SEAHAWKS...because they've been talking shit about the Broncos all off season......

A few Broncos fans was saying the offensive coordinator and Alex Gibbs(OL Consultant),got into it during the Superbowl....

Alex Gibbs wanted to run the ball alot more,but the Adam Gase overruled him...Here is the messed up part about the story,Alex Gibbs was the Broncos Assistant HC and Offensive Line's coach when we won our two Superbowl....and yet Adam Gase didn't want to run the ball......

Hopefully,Gase and Gibbs resolve their beef,because we need them both.....I knew something was weird,because we abandon the run so early and when we did we would get 3-5 yards a carry...

Ian Williams is still having problems from last years injury... I think the coaches were going to put him on the pup list this year.

I think he's been practicing as a backup to RayMac & J.Smith.

We Definitely need to bring someone in.. Purcell is a practice squad body, nothing More.. We need help foreal, if we don't stuff runs the whole defensive idea falls apart
