Pretty decent so far. And its gotten better over the season.
Its not the best series but the best is The Wire, GOT..etc

This was a really solid episode that I thought showcased the best acting of the series so far which I thought was uneven through most of the previous episodes. No guns, no chases, it just set up the central conflicts and continued to ratchet up the tension. I thought in its best moments it showcased what this show could be. The human drama between Tommy and his crazy broad, Ghost and his wife -- sidepiece was really involving.

The quiet moments with Ghost and Angela when he can by unannounced because he knew she was the only one who could appreciate how well his meeting about the club went really stood out. You could sense dude's desperation to leave his old life behind. And you just know shit is about to go soooo bad for him.

Some of the writing is still sloppy. Like why is the red headed broad flipping out about finding the cash? Did she really think Tommy was living a square life? Yeah, I know they tried to explain it away with her saying she just wanted him to be honest, but come on. That reaction was a bit much, but didn't make me call bullshit like her wearing the stolen pair of earrings to the birthday party of the woman she stole them from. I mean, what the fuck, she didn't think ole girl would be there? You were just in her house breaking bread. You didn't think she MIGHT look you up at some point during the night to say, "hi"?

I know there are some dumb ass people in this world who would do some shit like that, but when you're putting together a show like this it has to make sense -- real life doesn't. Here it was just way too convenient a way for the writers to force her and Tommy back together.


Prediction:
Oh, and DWade is some trouble. Everyone is making the prediction that Ghost is going to off him. And that may be the case, but the way they've written him -- trying to give him a morale center -- they're going to find some way to justify it beyond him just killing him for fucking his wife. I think the young boy is eventually gonna take a shot at Ghost. 50 already set it up by getting in his head "take what's yours", and look at the way he snapped at Naturi when she didn't want to take the earrings because of Ghost.

she's playing him for a sap...I don't think her "anger" was sincere @ all...she knew she had him wrapped around her finger the moment she played hard to get imo...this is all an act on her part to build "trust" chic is as much a sociopath as tommy is...that being said I agree her wearing the earrings to the party was weak...I'll just chalk it up to her loving to live life "dangerously' and taking shall risks like that

See, now I can kinda go with this, and it might very well be the case. But the way this show has been written so far, everything is so on the nose. There's really not much subtext to the way the characters react the way higher quality shows would like THE WIRE. Characters here usually say exactly what's on their mind to hammer the point home. There's not much reading between the lines the viewer has to do at all.
