yes, for the simple fact that wiggins aint play one game in the NBA. He may be an All Star, and may not.
Kevin Love willing to opt in if he is traded to the Warriors should be a huge red flag for the Cavs. Only way you do the trade if Love does the same thing. That one report tells me so much.
1. We all know Love is dying to make max money but for him to hold it off for one year shows that this is likely the only way the Warriors would include Klay in the talks that way they at least get him for two seasons.
2. Love opts in means he becomes a free agent in 2016 joining Dwight,Lebron, Durant, Noah and others. Love will automatically join the big fish and you will have more teams with cap space and some teams with cap space to add two stars.
3. Here is the big one. The Lakers will not only have cap space but Kobe Bryant will officially be off the books. The Lakers offer Melo 97 million and since this is Love first contract since coming off his extension the most he could get is 4 years in the 80 million something similar to Dwight Howard. Thing is we all know how the Lakers and Love have a jones for each other. This situation could be better because now he doesn't have to wait for Kobe to call it quits he joins the team and it's already his. Plus they will build around him.
Something I posted months ago
who said no is mentioning them?? Thing is the Warriors are a dark horse because ever since Kevin Love signed that stupid ass contract people have predicted he will become a Laker.
Rumors before this was (Bulls and a New York team) and before that (Lakers)
The offer you mention is okay but David Lee Barnes and first round pick won't be enough.
Remember Flip is in the Warriors front office. Remember how much the Wolves received from Boston in order to trade KG. Crazy thing is Timberwolves felt like they were fucked in that deal because they had nothing to show in that deal.
Warriors advantage isn't David Lee's expiring contract. It's that it has young players still on their rookie deals that have promise. Which means they will control their destiny and can't leave in the off season unless they want to.
Harrison Barnes will likely be apart of the deal but I expect the wolves will want Klay Thompson in fact I expect a swap for Kevin MArtin (who's Steve Kerr is a big fan of) since Rick is no longer coaching.
Barnes Klay David Lee and a first round pick will get it done.
Lakers could probably get Love if they get the number 1 pick and are willing to deal it but seriously if you are the Lakers you don't trade a number 1 pick for Kevin Love.
Bulls aren't moving Noah.
Knicks and Nets don't have shit to offer.
Woj says Houston could be in play here but they will need a third team.
Everyone knows Flip wants players with potential still on their rookie deal because they will control them at least promising them to have them for 4 years at least.
Now Cleveland offer of Wiggins trumps anything anyone can offer.
Wiggins would make the Wolves relevant again. Because of his play we seen it before the NBA would show games with lottery teams who drafted the number 1 pick.
Thing is if you are Cleveland you back away unless Love is willing to do the same. You sit on Wiggins because his value isn't going to drop. Honestly I look at Memphis and see what their team is going to do. I don't trust their front office and if they feel Marc Gasol could leave I would make them offer. You would likely have to eat Tony's contract as well but it would be worth it.
LaMarcus Aldridge is set to be a free agent and will likely command a max contract you factor that in with the Blazers having to likely give Dame the supermax a couple months later if not in the same month. Then in 2016 having to repay Batum. Will Portland really go over the cap?
Cleveland doesn't have to rush this. Hold on to him right now
Love is not better than Blake, maybe a better shooter but all around not better.
I don't even know how that would work from a salary cap standpoint. Lebron, Kyrie and Love are at max. Is Love ging to take less money? They'll be in the same position Miami was in.
Because the Cavs would suck without the trade. Without Love the Cavs are a poor shooting Perimeter team. Lebron, Waiters and Irving would not be a great combo nor would Lebron, Irving and Wiggins.
All you would have to do is force them to shoot jump shots by packing the paint and the Cavs would struggle.

Dion Waiters and Kyrie don't seem to enjoy playing with each other and how will Waiters respond to less shots. He can score but will he bring anything else to a team that wants to contend for a title.
posted this in the NBA off season thread
I do it only if Kevin opts in even then it's still sketchy
Yeah
You know Love will give you 20 and 10
You don't know what Wiggins will become
And you can't wait three years for Wiggins. Lebron is about to be 30.
this.
lots of college 'superstars' have flopped. love is proven... and that's after NOT being close to a superstar in college.
he was just big and above average for a white dude.
I thought he was crazy when he came out after 1 year.Kevin love on the golden state worriors at best is another second round exit. What they gonna do run and gun and shoot mad pretty jump shots.. Love needs to chill with that golden state nonsense, that team is the most flawed team in nba history
I wouldn't go that far, but I will say, they would have to give too many parts to get love, that when they are done, G.S. may look more like the Wolves and the Minnesota more like GS.Kevin love on the golden state worriors at best is another second round exit. No they won't because unlike Arison, Gilbert doesn't give a quarter of a fuck about the luxury tax.
Back on the subject of Love on the Cavs, the more I think about it the more sense it makes..
Check out this comparison..
Love and Duncan similar style of play almost identical.
Thompson and Leonard both have freakish type bodies, Thompson is very young and next year may be his breakout season.
Ginobili and Parker Irving and Waiters, similar type of backcourt players
Splinter and Varejao both hustlers who can get the job done.
Now you throw in LeBron into the mix..
Well on paper it looks like a perfect blueprint, the challenge would be getting that young bunch to buy into the selfless team first, high I Q system the Spurs run.
In order for that to happen you need a few vets like Love, LeBron, Miller, Jones and perhaps Ray Allen.
I usually vaulue players skillset wise, because being a center piece often factors in several intangible variables, mainly who you are surrounding your center piece with and what system they are running. But skill set wise, the closest comparison I can compare Love with is Duncan. They both do a lot of the same things on the court, just that Duncan is a much better defender/shot blocker , while Love is a better rebounder. No they don't Rage. I 5000% disagree with any similarities or comparisons between Duncan and Love. Love is not a center piece type of player. At best he is a nice companion to a superstar.
What I do agree with is your last statement though. Having LB and Love with some solid vets would be a good blueprint.
They will not need to do too much to get out the East (although the Heat are making some good moves), but championship wise they will need speed, quickness and a TEAM.

Ummm...
...purely in terms of offensive skill-set, I'm not seeing how Duncan is so superior to K. Love.
Defensively? Absolutely.
Offensively, I don't know about all of that.

What if this is Miami Heat part 2?
Meaning, both Kyrie and Love (a la Bosh & Wade) were both putting up big numbers being the #1 option on their respected "mediocre" teams. But then LBJ came along and they regressed some (cause three #1's had to get the ball), LBJ had to carry them more times than not and the Heat had to take all kind of back alleys to win two titles.
Think about what I typed, we can argue about Love and Kyrie being younger,,,,,but can u really say for sure that theyre more consistent or efficient than Wade and Bosh was when they FIRST joined LBJ?
Will Love just turn into a Noah; score 12 garbage points every once in a while..but mainly be a 20 a game rebounder? Will Kyrie have to turn into a Rondo? Then who wil help LBJ with the scoring?
Kyrie and Love never had to SHARE with a player like LBJ. They had to carry the weight like LBJ. Remember, we're basically talking about OFFENSE. Cause defensively that team would stil be lacking a little even if they added Love.
Just some thing to think about. The Cavs would look like one of the best teams on paper if this happens, a la Miami, but itlill still be an experiment until its proven to be something else.
Pull the fucking trigger already. It's being reported that the Wolves prefer Klay to Wiggins. Supposedly, because Klay is ready now.![]()
Pull the fucking trigger already.

We posted at the same time.![]()
Do it!!
It might haunt them.
Fuck Gilbert
