I"m a huge Wire fan, it's my favorite urban show, probably ever but lets stop acting like that shit was a masterpiece because of the writing. It was a great because of the authenticity and more so the execution by the actors. The Wire had much better actors. The story of the writer was nothing that hasn't been seen/done in crime series.

This show is what it is... alot of unknown actors in a decent but predictable storyline that will have a twist or 2 to change up..

As for the show..

Naturi Naughton is probably the worst actress ever. I don't care if she gets naked, I'm sure there has to be plenty of better actresses who will take their clothes off in a couple scenes.

Unlike most, I think Tommy is going to end up killing his new girlfriend. Tommy above all is married to the game. I don't think he wants to be the man. He clearly isn't a glory hound, look at his car, clothes... he's cool being rich and grimy.

Ghost is letting Angela ruin him. He's going out his way and becoming sloppy with his wife and business to get with her.

I think his wife is going to end up switching sides to one of the other hustling crews. She's going to let the hurt about the affair make her mad enough to either tell Lobos or someone else. She wants the "life" and if Ghost is trying to go too legit she's gonna bounce...

Oh yeah and Naturi Naughton is the worst actress of all time.

the wire and breaking bad stand out. those are great shows. i can't say that i don't like the genre. its just not my first choice.

Man I'm with, but so far I think it is ok. My issue with the show is why in the fuck is his wife so against him trying to get legit. They have a freaking kid to think about....... There is no way that you can convince me that any other woman in this position wouldn't be on board with his idea to focus on the club and get out. I'm going to keep on watching, because the latin chick has my attention... but this show is just average.

I really like this show. And I think Ghost's wife is good for the part. I think she's sexy, and she's the kind of woman that "A Boss" would pick... She's down for him, and she's extremely smart--too smart... She's smarter than that side chic Angela...
