But seriously what the hell are they doing over there? Shit like this makes me wish they got the transfer ban in place right now. They make transfers they don't need and act like they are the Cowboys getting big names for the sake of having big names.

And the point about Pele was this. Since Maradona only had one dominant cup, he's easily within play for Messi because he has this cup remaining and probably still one more. Messi couldn't catch Pele regardless. So the point is that you're putting Maradona into a category where he doesn't belong in terms of being out of reach for Messi (multi dominant cup performances). So the reference to Pele was a comparison to illustrate how your reference was flawed.

Not true my friend, the numbers do not lie. They scored 7 goals of which
he scored 4. If he had not scored, they would have conceivably tied all their
games, and gone to round 2.

The discipline behind the defensive midfielders and the back four is non-existent. You could drive a truck through those lanes.

Yup. This comes down to the two in front of defence, Paulinho and Gustavo. Paulinho especially has been absolutely poor this tournament.

No clue why big Phil keeps going with him.

yea.. CDM would be his best position but they paid all that money for him as a defender. You would think he'd be better having partnerships to help his development with John Terry and Thiago Silva but nope... his defensive awareness is absent at times
