~*~2014 NBA OffSeason Thread - Free Agency Starts - 7/1 12am ~*~

@Mask, yea Gilbert needs his ass kicked. Don't know how i forgot about those "quit" comments.

Man look at those game 6 stats, if anything I'll say he was holding back every game if he choose to get 19 Rebs in "A" fuck game, that's 120% effort....

Game 6
Pts - 27
Rebs - 19
Ast - 10

I remember arguing with muthafuckas about this when Queen T wasn't a stan yet and was nowhere to be found. I was like how is everyone going at Lebron when he was the only muthafucka that showed up and had a triple double. The turnovers were just him trying to do everything he could because his teammates didn't show up.

Cleveland just got overwhelmed by the better team. Shit that asswhooping got James to start his own big 3. He didn't quit though I do think he wasn't giving 100 percent at the end... just too much water leaking out of the ship man... he couldn't do it all by himself.

Eewwll pay attention fam we ain't talking about 2014....

  just fucking with cha .... Same shit happened this year

Eewwll pay attention fam we ain't talking about 2014....

that's what I'm talking about..game 6 against Boston.. I remember I was one of the main ones defending Lebron after the loss to Boston and none of the current Stans had anything to say at that point. They weren't on the bandwagon yet.

Miami got overwhelmed but that Boston series felt different. I feel like Miami just ran out of gas...especially wade.. but even though that Boston series went 6 games, it felt like a sweep and some of those games Lebron just was getting nothing from his team... but I always said even though Cleveland was winning 60 games they weren't a real championship team as you aren't winning a title with Mo Williams is your second best player.

LeBron James' agent meets with the Lakers
LeBron James' agent, Rich Paul, met with the Lakers in Cleveland on Friday.
Paul has now met with the Lakers, Suns, Cavaliers, Suns and Rockets in the past two days. LeBron is expected to take meetings in the near future, but he's expected to enjoy the holiday weekend with his family. It's still not clear of James' intentions with these meetings, but it's certainly possible this is just a smokescreen and a way to put pressure on Pat Riley to make moves. Obviously, Riley is in no position to try and call LeBron's bluff.

Nah, you was arguing with muthafuckas about how that is what seperates him from Jordan. How Mike would've scored 80 and glided thru the air to victory against the C's. You jumped on the LeBron is pretty good bandwagon when he beat OKC in 2012. You were an unabashed MJ stan up til that point. I never seen you defending Bron when people said he'd never win a ring. :smh:

If this were to happen LordTender would do a 180 and openly sing the praises of Inkosi. No more being a closet fan, he'd throw him back in his sig wit the quicknesss.

You jumped on the LeBron is pretty good bandwagon when he beat OKC in 2012.:

I said Lebron was the best player in the game and had the chance to be GOAT back in 2007. That was before you were on the bandwagon so you weren't paying attention. Lebron only existed to you after the Decision you bandwagon riding rainbow chaser.

I saw it. :lol::lol:

Queen's period about to start since I put a date stamp on his bandwagon passport.

Nobody's trippin off your ducktales Scrooge McDuck. You was a Pistons fan who dickrides the Bulls, so I guess it should be believable you was a Cavs fan on BGOL in 08-09.

LeBron James' agent meets with the Lakers

The longer this goes on the worst Miami's situation will be. Miami seems to be on the philosophy of getting the big 3 resigned and then they'll address the rest of the team. Lebron seems to be saying "make some moves to improve the roster" and then we can get contracts done. The longer this goes on, the less likely it is Miami will find the sufficient pieces to hash out their squad.

They just can't bring back the same squad with Napier. It still might get them out of the East but they're going to run into the same issue with whoever represents the West.

If Lebron was on the Lakers, I'd want the team to win. If Kobe went to Chicago, I would not be wearing any Bullshit.

Queen doesn't even know who is team will be next year. He opted out a few days ago and waiting one Lebron just like Wade and Bosh.

I said Lebron was the best player in the game and had the chance to be GOAT back in 2007.

You said LeBron lacked killer instinct in 2011 and threw him under the bus like everybody else the entire '12 season until he beat OKC. Now you telling us you was a Cavs fan defending him on BGOL back in the day.

duck_tales_wall_scroll_poster.jpg

Mofo ain't watched a Pistons game in YEAAAAAAARS!!!! Talkin bout he a "fan".

You said LeBron lacked killer instinct in 2011 and threw him under the bus like everybody else the entire '12 season until he beat OKC.

Like I said, Lebron didn't exist to you before 2010. I'm one of the first posters on this board saying he had the potential to be the goat.

I said Lebron choked in 2011 (which he did). How could he lack killer instinct when he single-handedly put my team out of the playoffs two seasons before that. You can have killer instinct and still chock. He did choke under the pressure in the finals in 2011 against the Mavs. There's no doubt about it and he would admit it himself. That's not throwing someone under the bus. That's calling a spade a spade. Fans can be critical. Stans can't. That's why you're still bleeding over some shit I said (which was true) 4 seasons ago like a bitter hoe.

Now take your ass back to Stanville. It must be kind of nerve-wrecking yet exciting not to know what jersery you're going to be wearing next season you ol bandwagon riding. I'll check back in when you sign your bandwagon contract in a week or so.

Correct...make some noise throw some $$$$ at Pau like 7 million(the MLE is normally 5).
They seem to be pushing hard for Morrow(I like dude, he's James jones but with a quicker release)...

Then holla at Billups, that would help with Napier and Cole development and them slide him into the front office somewhere...

Get Okafor and Birdman or Birdman and Kris Hump

That front line would be sick...

Bosh/Hump/Haslem
Paul/Birdman/Okafor

Stop lying.

I'm from Detroit.. A Pistons fan.. I bleed blue.. but the reality is just the reality... the GOAT played in chicago and wore #23... everyone else is fighting for second place at this point.

Until LeBron won his first title in 2012 I never seen you defend Bron and damn sure didnt say he was gonna win it all. Now you lying talking bout you was crusading for him when he was wit the Cavs. Bullshit. You was on that MJ is God shit hard back then bro. You gave him props for his game against the Pistons but you questioned if he had the fortitude to win it all. And regularly used Jordan as an example of why he was underachieving. And now you acting like it was the opposite and you never doubted him. FOH. Sup wit them Pistons tho or should I say Bulls?

r

You have to and fast. Lebron doesn't want to leave he wants to win. Miami has to show their committed. This is his prime. He's not trying to waste it.

Until LeBron won his first title in 2012 I never seen you defend Bron :

Your stanitis is acting up.

Ringless players don't deserve to be mentioned with the GOATS. That has always been the case for all players.

You know what. I'm looking at old posts. Like back from 2009. I'm in multiple threads defending Lebron and you're nowhere to be found. How long have you been a Lebron fan?

http://www.bgol.us/board/showthread.php?t=388385

dude is averaging 42-8-8 this series... CLEARLY he doesn't need any excuses... The Cavs don't match up with the Magic...been like that the last 3 years...

The magic have dominated the Cavs the last 3 years. They cause a lot of matchup problems for the Cavs..period. He nothing to do with Lebron.. or even his style of leadership. The Cavs, despite their record, are just not a great team.

http://www.bgol.us/board/showpost.php?p=6358941&postcount=13

Yeah. It was a tough decision, but it had to be done :lol:

Seriously, Lebron had a sick series. His guards are too small to match up with the Cavs guard and his big men are not athletic enough or strong enough to deal with Howard.. been like that the last 3 seasons against the Magic.. Lebron had a fucking Monster series... only the Kobe fan-boys really have anything negative to say about Lebron. I always thought the team was suspect anyway

Fuck out here man... Pietrus outscored the Cavs entire bench all by himself this game and Howard drops 40.... you've not been alive long enough to see a player perform like that in a conference finals...dude can't score 40+ every damn night..and especially without it taxing him.. dude lead his team in scoring, rebounds, assists, and steals.... that's too much for one player to do..

end of thread

from 2008 in a lebron vs Jordan thread. Look at how I responded to this. You see I didn't say it wasn't possible. I said it just wasn't an argument YET. I even mentioned multiple times that I was a Lebron James fan... it was just too early for the argument. I was very respectful of Lebron and just used facts to make my argument

http://www.bgol.us/board/showthread.php?t=333330

I love Lebrons game. But do you realize at this point in his career (24), Jordan was not only waaaaay more prolific of a scorer than Lebron but he also won a DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD. He was the leagues best scorer and best defensive player at age 24..Lebron's current age.

LEBRON HASN'T EVEN HAD A DEFENSIVE TEAM HONOR YET (1ST OR SECOND)

Jordan was light years ahead of Lebron on the defensive end.. a better scorer... by age 23/24.. Jordan wins HANDS DOWN... and I'm a Lebron James fan.... now you couple that with the fact that Jordan started pretty much was winning titles after year once he hit 27, Lebron has tough metrics to beat...some of yall cats don't realize how thoroughly Jordan dominated the game.... dude just didn't score a lot of points.. he dominated on both sides of the ball and literally had players/teams in fear of him.. dude dominated the game physically and psychologically.

Lebron is an outstanding player but he still has a ways to go...

again below. Clearly stating (way back 6 years ago) that Lebron was the best in the game and it was meerly about hardware..that he needed to WIN.

The reality of the matter is that Although Lebron is a great player and to me the best in the game right now... his current accomplishments don't put him at pace with Jordan and going forward... he's gonna have to win a lot of hardware to match or surpass Jordan... or any of the other greats like Magic, Bird, Russell, etc.

Same thread. In 2008 I was already saying had the chance to be the GOAT. Where were you saying that in 2008?

To me, Lebron has been the only player who could match up with Jordan possibly. I think people get blinded by Kobe because Kobe copied so much of Jordan's came that people get caught up in some of the weak similarities of the two.

However, Lebron's style of play and his just size coupled with his athleticism is kind of a paradigm shifting basketball player. There is not another NBA player that really even remotely compares to him right now in terms of some of the things he can do on the floor as a 6-8 260 point player who can play positions 1-4, can score, rebound, and distribute the ball so well.

There are three real problems with his game though that are limiting factors.

1. Shooting:

His inability to consistently knock down the 18 footer is a problematic
Free throwing shooting is also very problematic.

2. Defense:

He's not a defensive liability but he's got to improve his 1 on 1 defense to the point that he can cause problems on the defensive end and be counted in to get stops late in big games.

3. Big Game/ Big Shots

He showed this in the series against my team (Pistons) but he's got to be a killer in big games and late in games...consistently.

I'm saying he has the possibility... but i wouldn't go as far as saying .."he will"..that's too definitive... and that's not even discussing the intangibles that made guys like Jordan, Magic, and Bird so great... and Lebron still doesn't have all those things yet... but like you said and I agree.. dude is only 24... he is still mad young .

Same thread. Giving me crazy props but also noting the limitations that he had in his game while also acknowledging he still had time to fix those issues.

http://www.bgol.us/board/showpost.php?p=5289598&postcount=58
Lebron is that dude. I've seen him do shit I've never seen anyone do. Man... a couple of weeks ago I see this cat steal the rock, dribble twice, and jump damn near from the free-throw line and dunk it with EASE.. head was still damn near rim-level :eek::eek:

but in terms of this game...it's hard to compare people to Jordan.. Jordan didn't have any flaws in his game..especially by the time of the second 3peat... Lebron still has lots of flaws in his game... even crippling flaws like the free-throw shooting... but he still has some time.we'll see how far he gets....he's still very young

You know what. I'm looking at old posts. Like back from 2009. I'm in multiple threads defending Lebron and you're nowhere to be found. How long have you been a Lebron fan?

Since 2002. Once again, BGOL is not a sports board, nor the only website on the internets. You wont find me in many NFL posts on this board prior to last year, go ahead and tell me I'm not a Carolina Panther fan since I didnt post it on this porn board 6 years ago.

In not one of those posts did you say LeBron has the potential to be GOAT or better than Daddy Jordan at something. You never do. Like the post I link said, Daddy Jordan is your ultimate, everyone else is battling for 2nd best.

I know REAL Pistons fans who would slap the shit outta you for sayin that shit about Jordan.

Don't confuse stan with fan. I said Lebron was the best player in the game back in 2007 so calling him the best player in the game doesn't make you a stan.

You hadn't accepted Lebron as your Lord and Savior until 2010. You've been KingStanarqa since 2010.

I'll check back in with you in a few days when we know whether you're still a Heat fan or not.

So he'll be able to run shit if he comes back? Ummmm what type of shit is that?

Even more fishy fuck shit.

Gilbert just wants to get James back. Gilbert is probably putting all kinds of shit on the table. At this point, he'll rename Quicken Loans Arena after him if that's what it takes.

And what's happened since LeBron stopped running shit and took his talents to south beach?

It's been a horror story, but things could have been better when James was here. Mike Brown should have been out(much like Brooks in OKC has to go).

Would you say your Daddy Jordan comments make you a stan? You do realize you being a "Piston fan" that idol worshipping arch rival MJ is like a Cowboy fan saying John Riggins is the greatest running back ever. Or a Yankee fan saying Ted Williams is the GOAT. :smh::lol:

Sup wit them Pistons or should I say Bulls?

I want LeBron to go back to Cleveland, because then all off the dudes that have been trumpeting him as Martin, Malcolm, and Medgar all rolled into one and the greatest civil rights hero for leaving the massa's plantation would then have to call him the biggest coon, uncle Tom ever for going back
