Man fuck that IQ shit...Manu, Lebron, Wade, Spo, Pop etc...IQ's are high but they make costly mistakes.
Beasley could spare Lebron scoring. Lebron could focus on play making a bit more, and still have a great scoring option on the court in his place. Cole and Chalmers been struggling thus far.

See how Pop treated Green and Leonard, "Just play", "Be Aggressive" & "Shot the ball"
I understand Beasley and Leonard/Green are different people, but the goal is putting the ball in the hoop.

Bosh 4 shots, 4-4, Not enough touches plain and simple. Fuck Norris Cole had more shot attempts than Bosh

Wade just been subpar..I know the capes are coming for him but he has been bad on the defensive end this finals. Inexcusable transition defense

Lebron taking 14 shots.....cant happen.


Chalmers has been so fucking bad that he is reaching Roy Hibbert levels.


Anyway these things can be corrected by not playing so fucking flat to come out.

Spurs go small and Spo thought wow, wouldn't it be smart if we put LeBron in the post or better yet have him play the 4 position... Problem with that thinking, is that it left Wade and Rio as your play makers, the ones resposible for getting the down in the paint to LeBron and its their jobs to collaps the paint so they could pass the rock out the the wing, Bosh and Lewis..
While Wade showed some promise in the post when LeBron left the game, for a brief instance in the third.. Both Wade and Chalmers played horrible games as guards who job it was to set up the defense.. For one they dribble way to soft, with their heads down, how your going to find the cutting man or someone in the post when you are too concern about the ball dribbling off of your foot.. Next neither has a jumper, this way both of their defender can sag off of them and crowd the paint and help out in the post, while Bosh and Lewis defenders are free to stick with them... As the result Bosh and Lewis remain covered, with not enough open looks from deep.. LeBron is stuck in the post with a bunch of smaller quick guys trying to poke the ball from him everytime he is forced to dribble in the crowded post.
Wade and Rio take forever to bring the ball up, also, this complicate things even further by leaving the Heat much less time to pass the ball around, often the result is a very poor shot selection..
What they need to do is do what they did in game 2, that is use James as the point forward, post up Wade and set up high pick and roll screens allowing James to attack the paint, collapse it, then set up the wing men with sharp passes.. Once this happens Bosh would get his shots, LeBron would be more active and the offense will flow much better..
On defense they need to play more like they did the 2nd half where everyone manned up, as opposed to that floating rotation bullshit that never works..
Only thing, when they play tight man, they have to do a better job calling the picks and know when to rotate and when to fight through them..

When you play the post your game is more dependant on the people getting you the ball at the right moment.. The only time LeBron looked assertive in the post is when Cole was in the game...
If they go back to their original plan of using Wade for the post, at least you don't have to worry about him getting the ball when he is open..

I don't know bruh.

The man was being ran off the 3 line and decided to play ball by attacking. On the low key, the Heat may have open a side of him that was dormant.

If you come too hard to contest his three, then he has the option to go to the basket or make a play. If you don't come hard enough, then he can burn you from the 3 point line. In essence, all of it came within the Spurs offensive movement. May not be as trivial to stop. But like Largebills said, we'll see...

He got a lot of help also. As long as the Heat go with Wade and Rio up top, and as long as they are not able to consistently hit the open jumper to keep their defender honest, the paint will be packed... This is like a QB who can't hit the deep pass, and has poor accuracy, what is the first thing you do as a defense? Pack the box, making it harder on the offense one viable threat, the running back..

Defensive, you can't. 5 steals is some Westbrook type shit.

But I think his offense can be repeated. Just the nature of his 3 point game allows him to actually make a basketball play when he is assertive about going to the basket.

Passive-aggression makes him look indecisive. The adjustment was all coaching bro. I'm sure when Pop looked at film and seen how the Heat were closing him and running him off the 3 point line, how indecisive he looked when attacking the basket. It almost looked like he didn't know what he wanted to do.

Last night, he was ran off the line and attacked with purpose. That's coaching, IMO.

Every player in that Heat locker room needs to look himself in the mirror and say "what can I do to play better in Game 4?" None of em had their best games, we can go down the line..

Dwyane Wade-5 TO's, got cooked by Danny Green
Rio Chalmers-0-5, 2 points, 3 TO's, 4 Fouls
Chris Bosh-Only 4 shot attempts.
Shard Lewis-Took a while to get going, play better D
Jesus Shuttlesworth-Took a while to get going, play better D
Chris Andersen-Only 1 attempt, didnt clean up the garbage and wasnt active around the basket
Norris Cole-needs better decision making on fast breaks, knock down open shots!

The Heat let down their fans, their home crowd, a lot of folks. If they don't come out there Thursday night and bang on San Antonio, they dont deserve to be 2014 Champions. Last night's loss was unacceptable, that kind of defensive effort aint Heat basketball. The whole team has got to step up and play better. Everybody.

That I agree with, he can do this because of his shooting but we have to see if it's his ah ha moment.. or if he goes back to being clueless..

the thing is he isn't even the key to their team.. but if he can add 15-17points consistently.. the spurs are a better offensive unit for it.

That's all they need to do. Keep Lebron on Leonard. You can't have Leonard scoring 30 points.

Then the Heat guards need to defend the perimeter. They're sleeping out there. That's all you need. I'm not worried about their offense...it's the defense.

The Heat have been there before.. they're gonna come out with more intensity.

I don't get that man. It's was like he wasn't on the court. I know they don't run plays for Bosh but someone has to keep him involved. When he's on, it opens things up the lanes for everyone else.

Unfortunately Wade is option 2 and he slows sometimes stops ball movement. Turnovers killed Bosh at option 3 he barely touched the ball.

Wade is good doing what he does best, slashing to the rim with as little dribling possible as well as the drop back jumper from ten feet. What he is no longer able to do is play qb in the back court, his handling is too weak causing him to not play with enough assertion.

It wasn't like he was out there missing shots (4-4)..nor did he have any turnovers. So he wasn't out there fucking up... just completely out of the flow of the game.

Lebron and Wade had 12 turnovers combined. They've got to deal with that.

I said at the beginning this seris is about match up adjustment and execution... So far Pop is schooling Spo by doping him into matching their small line by putting LeBron in the post, leaving Rio and Wade with the ball...
Green normally isn't the best defender but if you notice he was either playing aggressive vs a poor ball handler or sagging off the ball, defending the passing lane and or collapsing in the paint.. Hiding his weakness of one on one defense vs a athletic slashing player..
I know Spo loves starting off the game with Wade and Rio handling the ball to both jump start them and to save LeBrons legs, but that strategy will fail vs the Spurs smaller lineup..

They had the luxury of shadowing Bosh as opposed to pealing off of him and using his defender, Duncan to peel down in the paint for rebounding and shot block help.. Matter of fact they were free keeping Duncan in the paint vs LeBron and matching Bosh up with a smaller guard or forward.. With LeBron as the facilitator Bosh would be free to cut to the basket if guarded by a smaller player, post up, or even remain in the wing for a catch and shoot jumper... But with out players collapsing the paint, none of that is possible..
