No need to attack heats fans for leaving the game early or not backing up their shit in this thread once most of em claimed the heat were gonna go on some HISTORIC run and win game 3. Said this before, but Miami aint a sports town. Never has been. Besides that Dolphins team and the current heat, what else is there? Notice most heat fans show up when all the work is done and its time to party, but cant really do much else sports related. Bandwagon Miami heat fans are about partying, not sports.

What worries me about the Heat is that Rio is going to try and get going, but will end up tricking on the court.

They dared them to shoot some of those shots also, and a lot of them were difficult.. But to the Spurs credit they nailed them.. Im still pissed at Rio for showing poor body language, because as I said before, shit like that can boost the opponent ego, and basketball is such a mental game, where any little edge can go a long ways..

The biggest problem I have with Rio is on the defensive end (besides the careless turnovers)... one player can fuck up the entire dynamics of the defense when they sleep... the heat aren't a team of great individual defenders.. they can play great defense though when everyone commits... they can score points but Miami (during those title season) were really known for their great perimeter defense... I know the team is a bit slower this season but the effort was lacking a bit tonight... but Rio was out there playing very lazy...just hanging out in no-mans lands on defense..not trapping or doubling.. not helping...not hanging close on his man...he was just floating

For several reasons, LeBon was in the post most of the game, leaving the bulk of the play making in the hands of Rio, Allen and Cole.
With out the paint being attacked the Spurs were able to keep a man on him in the perimeter, and Bosh simply camped there becoming passive as fuck, not cutting hard to the rim, and very little pick and rolls..

The Spurs went small, and LeBron tried posting in the paint, but the Heat lack the proper passers to take advantage of this match up... At least Cole was able to deliver to James while posting, while all Chalmers did was hold on the ball too long, miss the open shot and turn over the ball..
They should have pulled James out the post and instead went to the 1-3 pick and roll that worked last game especially when they cut the lead, but then tehy came back with Rio and his miss three pointer, bad turn over and that miss lay up by Allen was game set match.

Remember I told you earlier the spurs are unbeatable when they go small, more athletic, faster and younger
but again when you make shots you really want to play "D"
sorry, but Lebron does everything for theHeat he can't continue to do that

That part is key. I really expected him to have more energy man. He literally said 35 percent of the regular season and was on cruise control for the playoffs. He should have more in the tank than it appears he has... that's why the defensive effort (or lack of) is troubling

Ray was forced to be a high volume ball handler instead of his catch and shoot role, due to poor guard play from Rio, average play from Cole and spotty play from Wade.. Ray wasn't being doubled, they collapsed and trapped him as soon as he put the ball on the wood and drove towards the paint..
I never said LeBron was tired, I said they posted him up more instead of allowing him to be a play maker, as the result players like Bosh, and Allen got very little shots from the perimeter..

Its not about who put up what numbers, but rather who was playing their position correctly, during most of the 2nd and 3rd period, James was actually playing in the 4 spot, to me that was dumb, because it took the play making out of his hands and into the hands of Cole, Rio and Cole. Cole was ok as a distributer but Rio and Wade dribble way too much with their heads down.. Wade was much better when LeBron went to the bench and he was able to go back to his regular spot in the post..
Another problem with Wade and Chalmers up top, neither of them have a good jumper, and their defenders are able to sag off of them to help out in the passing lane vs the 4 and the 5 players.
