Durant is all you need. Plus they have no answer for Westbrook if they play him correctly. Ibaka is a better player than Jordan and there benches are similar although id give the edge to the clippers with the 6th man of the year.

I still expect OKC to win this series if Brooks can make a fucking adjustment

it's way easier to guard curry because he isn't going to go by you. he's going to be crafty, he's going to go around screens and he's going to try to fake you out. but he isn't going to blow by you.

if a player can just go by you, your entire defense is fucked. someone else will always be open because you can't stay in front of your man.

so yes curry can pull up at any time and make contested shots

but if you let westbrook go by then it's a wrap

Likewise, but we are just going to have to disagree on this aspect.

I'm not trivializing Westbrook's game, but it takes so much discipline and defensive focus to not allow somebody with a trigger as fast as Curry to not get a clear look at the basket.

It's a pick your poison with those players man. Curry is not going to foul your big men out like Westbrook would.

Where are the adjustments coming from in this series?

It has to be the pace of the game. They absolutely do not need to run and gun against this team.

Man I think you're devaluing CP3 too much. Paul is gamer and is regarded as the best all around point guard in the league. Westbrook isn't going to get to the lane as easy as you think especially when Jordan will be waiting for him.

Hell, it might play better into the Clippers favor if Westbrook decides to take it personal against Paul and gets overly aggressive while Durant not getting his touches.

easy. play big inside.

keep seffalosa on reddick if he's going to actually play defense.

pick and roll with westbrook.

have durant shoot the bunnies all series long.


but if the thunder just play defense... meaning just stop letting them shoot wide open shots or wide open layups they'll be back in the game easily.

see look at that.

alley to the rim and there was NOBODY there.. nobody to deter blake

they've had wide open layups. now i don't know what okc bigs are on the floor for, but they playing like hibbert's right now

Have you been watching this game?

who has stopped him from getting to the lane?

whether someone is waiting for him that doesn't matter, he can get there.

durant is getting his touches. the problem is the okc bigs are playing like trash right now. not protecting the rim or rebounding well.

okc guards have been playing excellent. westbrook and durant particularly.

he could if they ran a pick and roll lol

every single time they ran one against memphis it was a positive play. every single time.

it would be no different here. blake and jordan cannot stay with him around the corner on a high screen and roll, soon as he hits the corner he's gone

BUT they won't do it so this is all moot
 
in one sentence they praise cp3 for being competitive and going at westbrook

and then in the next they say westbrook problem is being competitive and going at cp3

And that coincides with pace of the game cause none of that is happening running and gunning.

In the second half, OKC needs to dictate on how the pace of the game will be. If they in fact make those adjustments, then it will put more pressure on the Clippers shot selection on the other end (only if OKC tightens up their defense).

As soon as the Clippers cool off, OKC should grind them down. OKC needs to make the Clippers feel like they have to take better shots. Right now these possessions are not precious enough to OKC.

Iso on the block with Westbrook against Paul. Plus cp3 has 3 fouls. Ibaka definitely needs to make Blake work a little harder on defense.

Right, it ain't hard.

The defense is the major problem. Major problem the bigs are not protecting the rim and they aren't even running out there.

we'll see what happens. but the clippers just NOT gonna shoot like this all series long... shit not even in the 2nd half unless its just their night. paul isn't going to shoot like that from 3 unless tonight is just his night.

tighten up the defense and we might end up with a close game at the end instead of a snoozer.

Westbrook will get his points no doubt but will he be locked in on other aspects of the game? Listen to what Barkley just said about Westbrook taking it too personally on offense and wanting to go hard on Paul.

I just feel that Westbrook can be rattled easier and try to do too much on his own. Paul can beat you without scoring but can match Westbrook's points if needed. I just think the Clippers got too many weapons on offense and I trust Doc more than Brooks when it comes to defensive game plan.

I would like to take this time to apologize to Chris Paul for anything I've said in the last 2 weeks. If they want to show Chris/Cliff commercial 10 more times I have no issue.

right after he praised chris paul for taking it personally and going hard at westbrook.

same thing 2 different outlooks..one has traditionally been negative so they keep that narrative alive.

now if u say you trust doc and they have more weapons i agree 100% with you. you know and everyone knows how i feel about brooks


look at that rim protection right there?

that is the problem westbrook is not.
