Our Nickel package let us down because carlos rogers was playing in it period.

Every game that carlos rogers missed our pass defense was lights out.

Look at the cardinals game palmer had damn near 400 yards and almost all were because of rogers.

qb's had a 80% completion rate throwing at him.

now look at rodgers with a full compliment of weapons throwing for only 100 something yards.... and 1 last chance of a td on a miracle play.

then look at the following week with cam who had a good half the 1st half and nothing in the 2nd

then look at rogers being back in the lineup for the championship game.

who was the td pass that beat us on 4th down thrown on?

and they've already made it known either he takes a huge cut or we're releasing him. I hope he says no cut so we can get him out of there. now special teams i agree but that's a lapse in coverage at bad times the players we had were really good at it, it just happens. our special teams was night and day compared with the 2012-13 season.

Well here's my take on everything.
I wasn't really expecting much, same thing every year.
We always sign the cheaper guys, never break the bank for big names.

The guys we lost were not very good (Dixon, Rogers, Goodwin, McCoy, Cox, Manningham).
Losing T. Brown will sting a little b/c he's a pretty good corner.
We just couldn't afford him.

Hate to see Whitner go but, it's just like the Dashon Goldson situation last year.
Too much money & he's not very good in coverage.
Also Whitner had a target on his back by the refs, they were constantly flagging him for CLEAN hits & costing us big time!
