{~~~Guns, Guns and Mo' Guns - The Right To Keep And Bear Arms~~~}

I believe I asked this before....but has anyone shot the Springfield XDs .45 ACP

My question is how is the recoil? is it too much?

url

I have. It's subjective, man. Every man is different.

I was pretty accurate with it and it felt comfortable, but it prolly depends on what size you get, 3.3", 4.0", or 5.25"

You know what.... I just looked and the xDs is a single stack, I ain't shot that one. I guess I was shooting the xD or xDm.
That single stack low capacity ... I can't do that. :smh:

I would have bought, and still want to buy, one if it wasn't more than the Glock 30. 10 rounds is the least I'm willing to go with in a hand tool. I added a Pearce +2 to my factory mags

I personally like the XDs, great follow up shots
to answer your question is not a 1911 but , the recoil is not that bad

cool...thanks

now I have my eye on a nice USO 1-8 will a lit reticle to put on the scar. I know what you saying, why you making a 16s in a SPR. I don't know the answer, but it will be a tact driver. lol

 I never shot an M4 but it appears to be the real deal. However all I'm saying is why pay $1600 when for $500 I can get the same reliability out of the 590A1? Bennelli appears to be a better gun on paper but I don't think the 590a1 would let me down it's been a proven weapon in combat.

I agree that the 590a1 is a great piece of kit. The Benelli's fit, finish, and function are what sets it apart from most other scatterguns out there. It's kind of like how some folks think of Ferrari as the upper echelon of cars, well in the gun culture the Benelli is just that. With that said, I have and will trust my life to both Mossy and Remington shotguns.

I have a XD's in .45acp. It's been in my rotation of EDC's for close to a year now. It's a snappy little bitch in terms of recoil. As with anything, practice is your friend when getting proficient with this FA. Buying tips- if you purchase from the used market. Make sure the FA in question has been sent in for the recall service. I'd give it an 7.5 out of 10 for size, reliability, sights, and trigger.

Thanks....i carry an airweight s&w 442 right now...

I have a SPX and you see from my post and I am selling it. It is very rough for an auto tact door breaker, I need something very smooth. when I do the lock, I need something that can be ready to clear the path without hesitation.

for example, the song from Ludacris "Move Bitch get out the way!!!"

Has anyone fired the Taurus PT 111 Millennium Pro G2? Got a chance to test it out at a friends and fell in love with it. I felt like I was one with this pistol . I'm determined to get one for the lady and myself real soon(Prices between $320-350 ).

Not for anything but, if given a choice of defending myself with a Taurus or lets say a rock. I'd take a long look at the rock...

Taurus pistols are on the low end bruh. Folks rag on them pretty hard. I purchased a PT-22 used one time to test out and was gonna give to my old lady to start shooting on. Shid in 2 days I sold it to a CAC. Polished and cleaned it up real nice. Only Taurus guns I'd mess with are their revolvers. I read yesterday that the Ruger LCP has been updated with usable sights and a better trigger. I think I'll cop another one. Great little concealed pistols. :smh:

Ordered me a remginton 700 VLS in 22-250 to try my hand at coyote/predator hunting with this Foxpro wildfire I picked up. Youtube coyote hunting looks like a lot of fun.

What's the difference between the Mossberb 590 & 930???

great question, the 930 is the "non pump" (auto) shotgun. The 930spx is an ok shotgun, but I find it lacking (please don't forget, I compete "3 gun".

I changed out the follower and had the trigger worked on too but, it still lacking.

Lacking? How so?

Also. what do y'all think about Saiga 12's & AK's?

the 930 is not as smooth and shoot to slow for me..

I can't say anything bad about a Saiga (great weapon) but I don't like AKs (because they not a tack driver spear). AKs are very dependable and the round is very hard hitting but....... the barrel flexes when fired and it is just not a precision weapon.

Please don't forget, I am a gun snob, I competes, and I love shot a 3-5 mm 3-5 shot group at the range.

Saigas are nice plus you can get the drum

I've had my Saiga since the 1st gen imports came to the states. My example has been solid and reliable out of the box (even more so after I converted it). The aftermarket support for the Saiga has grown considerably. I would highly recommend adding one to your collection. As far as AK's, I have few in my collection. I have nothing bad to say about AK's aside from the Century Arms assembled variants. QC is hit or miss with anything Century puts their mitts on....

I finally received my Factory New Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan chambered in 44 Magnum. This is the revolver I've been trying to add to my collection for the longest.:yes:

Finally got me an AR-15. Don't really have much need for it. I will say it'll be easier to walk around in the woods with. Ammo is super cheap no reason to reload. Daniel defense upper with Bushmaster lower.

How much per round?

Why the upper & lower different? What's the benefit of that?

I'm all 'bout dat 7.62!

Question for everybody:

How many different calibers do you keep?

I'm really wanting to stay @ 4 different calibers (.45, .40s&w, 7.62x39, & 12ga) so its easier to maintain a few thousand rounds of each, but I'm wanting an AR pistol in 5.56 and a bullpup in 5.7 or .45 (PS-90 & Kriss Vector, respectively).

Now, the Kriss would be the obvious choice if I wanted to stay within the calibers I already got, but it doesn't have penetration as much & olly say its a joke weapon.

The PS-90 would be cool to shoot and get good with handling. It would also give me an excuse to look at getting a $1500 pistol :( , FN 5.7, with 20 carbine/rifle rounds.

AR pistol would be to see what all the fuss is about and to personally compare it to my 7.62's so I could see if its more accurate.

I got rid of some of my toys, currently I have .223, .308, .416, 9mm, 40, .45, and 12 (1 1/2, 2 3/4, and 3). saying that I am in the processes of building a 6.5 Grendel, for mid distance. I sold my Kriss, PS90, m11, 930spx, fn spr w/pr tactical 3x9 leo, Springfield socom, and the g21 (it was told crude for my taste and it was the partner for the kriss.

After the recent job, I am more focused on optics now. After the last contract, I got my a USO and I have to SAY I LOVE IT. It is a the "cat's meow" over my aimpoint (and I have the good one). The if you can get your hands on a USO, please please check it out!!!!!!!!. I have to be honest, I am looking at the Nightforce "BEAST" for the future Grendel.

I know some people are not into competing, but don't forget the trigger. On my last trip south I brought my le901 w/ a mark 4 (3.5x15) along, I recently added a "the big "G" trigger to it. It was easy to engage, track, and great on the follow up shots.

BTW, the next time I am going south for a job, I will get me a PredtorORB (.308). Larue is not the best, but they have GREAT customer service and they are located by Austin.
