Marcus Smart of OK State just pushed a fan

Didn't Barkley throw a cracker through a glass window once for disrespecting him? And told the story about a dude who wouldn't leave him alone in the bathroom and was like, "if you're still here when I come out this stall..." Lol.

There is a book called 37 things every black man should know by Earl Smith that talks about how whites hate young black men unless he plays for their team.

I believe a lot of them are like this

Them listening to your music and seeing your movies means little.

It is my hope he will remember this moment, so when he is in the NBA, he wont marry a WHITE BITCH!

You chicks don't listen.

I've said and have proven that a famous, well off black male is many times more likely to be with a high yella woman than any other woman.

You all are so fixated on the small minority of white women that get with famous black men that you're totally overlooking the colorism that is FAR more an 'issue' - if you wish to call it that.

This was a dumb move, but apparently this "fan" has a history of doing shit like this, huh?

For people saying that Smart should have been more mature or composed no matter what the fan said, please remember that this cat is still a teenager. Dude is only 19. The laws of this country state that he's not even mature enough to drink alcohol yet.

I don't know for sure, but I'm going to assume that the fan said something slick in order for Marcus to react like that. What he said...only time will tell. But I love the fact that the media is already trying to establish a "pattern" of emotional over-reaction by tying this incident to the one of him kicking a chair.

He is ruining his shot at the NBA. Last thing you want to be labeled as is a hot head. He has been a bad rut as of late as well

If true, Good for him. I want to see the "fan" banned from Texas Tech athletics for life. And very telling and appropirate that they consider that obese wrinkled bigoted ofay their #1 fan.

I hate the notion that fans can say and do whatever they want but if the player reacts, he is in the wrong. They gonna try to make Smart look like the bad guy but I'm sorry, you say some racist shit, you deserve whatever reaction you get.

That aint the first time that fan has done some hoe shit but the school feels "he never crossed the line". GTFOH

As someone else posted, that Orr bitch feels that he is protected being in that audience with fellow racists by his side. He thinks he's protected by being in that stadium by being in that audience, that imaginary line of protection. He's like that woman who talks shit and gets in a man's face saying, "You not gone do shit bitch. Hit me bitch! Hit me!". Same thing in my opinion.

Here's how you know he thinks he's protected. Would he have approached Smart and told him the same thing outside that stadium?

Also, did you see the Orr's face afterwards. They're looping it on ESPN right now. That racist had a look of, "Oh shit, I can't believe I got checked." He had that nervous smiley guilty racist grin on his pasty white racist face.

Stephen A Smith ‏<s>@</s>stephenasmith <small class="time"> 1h </small> There's nothing to talk about. Marcus Smart should be suspended 3-to-5 games. A college athlete has no business putting his hands on a fan.

Stephen A Smith ‏<s>@</s>stephenasmith <small class="time"> 1h </small>
BUT....you don't do what he did. It can't be allowed. It's not just about Smart. It's about sending the message that such behavior won't fly

Stephen A Smith ‏<s>@</s>stephenasmith <small class="time"> 1h </small>
Correct <s>@</s>JGeewentworth. And the fan should be dealt with Harshly. But that doesn't excuse Marcus. He could've called an official or someone.

Desmond Mason was on ESPN talking about the atmosphere in Lubbock..

"Smart has claimed to Oklahoma State coaches that Orr called him a racial slur, a member of the basketball program confirmed to ESPN."

Here's how you know he thinks he's protected. Would he have approached Smart and told him the same thing outside that stadium?

Its the same concept of people talking shit on the internet....people will say all kinda wild shit when they don't think they can be touched. Anywhere outside of a sports event, that dude would be quietly talking shit but not saying anything out loud.

He should be suspended for a game or two IMO

I wonder if there will be a four or five star recruit who's willing to break the norm and go to a hbcu

this type of behavior by grown ass white men seems to be the norm but apologists dont seem to think that that part of the equation needs to be addressed. its always the athletes fault for some reason. like it was mentioned before, these crackers do what they do because they feel safe in doing it. its our job to make them feel as uncomfortable as possible whenever they do this type of shit. we tried the hold hands and turn the other cheek way and they still have not changed their nature. the cracker historically has only respected one thing. a stronger retaliation. if we havent learned anything in dealing with these homo neanderthals we should have at least learned this. they dont fuck with people who meet them with more aggressive violence than they give out. call me what you want but the fact remains, they will continue to do what they do to us because we allow it by always trying to take the high road, turn the other cheek, "act like a man and dont respond" and every other response we have thought of. i say if you want a different outcome then do something different. i guarantee you one thing, that cracker wont do that shit again at any game period.

I read about that yesterday....:smh::smh::smh:

Fuck that. They promote and encourage that hate filled atmosphere. This was bound to happen at some point. The discussion needs to be focused more on the culture of racism permeating through that fucking arena and why a guy noted as their "#1 fan" is a raging piece of shit bigot.

The discussion of how people act in stadiums and arenas has needed to happen for a while.

Agreed. In the case of basketball the situation is exacerbated because unlike all the other sports the fans are so much closer, the closest in fact, to the players.

In a situation like this teams should have the ability to get fans ejected from a venue by their request. You don't want players touching fans? When they act up they get bounced.

Naw, they're showing it every week now.

It seems to be a frequent occurrence over there. But it's looked at as...them over there and is a 30 second clip.
