Over on the rockstarsupport pages it looks like that ban hammer is already dropping.
It's only allowing them to play story mode. When they try to play online it tells them they've been banned from gta online and to return to story mode.

I'm concerned I don't want to get banned
I was playing gta online racing and it gave me a really large sum of money I tried to turn off my xbox and it froze before I did. I finally managed to turn it off by unplugging it by then it was too late the money saved and when I logged on to gta online I had 5,000,000,000 dollars. When I was playing online I found that a player gave me 6 or 7,000,000,000 dollars and it froze again, and that money was saved too now I have 10,000,000,000 dollars all I want is my old sum of 4,000,000 dollars it's not fair. Please help me PLEASE. I don't want to get banned reset or put in a cheater pool. Please wipe my money.

We was bullying this one dude who somehow managed to get into God Mode (maybe he didn't update his hack thing), so I immediately went passive as he and his buddy tried to fuck me up.
So Capt Smack pulls up in his tank and I'm all like "My nigga!", he was right on time and I thought he was gone run these niggas over and wreck shop and shit. Do you know this nigga hopped out his tank and let the god mode nigga steal it, kill him and drive off in it He ain't know what was going on

lol I might be the odd man out but I can finally understand why these lil kids kept cheesing off of god mode...I musta made like 6-7 new characters this weekend tryna figure out how to dump $$$ correctly...and it was kinda fucked up that @ lvl 3 they'd dump me in a room w/ dudes anywhere from lvl 50-500 granted I was just in a session to dump $$$ so I'd just go into passive mode so no one could bother me...but it'd be fucked up if I was still @ the level where I had to scrap to earn I thought it'd be fair if lower level players have the option of joining a session w/ other low level players...that way they don't have to hide in solo/invite sessions or be prey in the regular sessions

LOL...man gone head with the bull. From what it looks like the DNS server leaves a footprint. So if you ever joined it ...they know. They can literally see when you jumped 70 levels bruh. It doesn't matter if you jumped 7,70, or 700....if they are banning for it, then you done. The hours don't back up you skipping 70 levels..
In the end man fuck it... They shitted on gamers with a broken ass game mode then got mad beause the community took it. It's all in the name of greed. They were $700 million in the black from the first week..
They have spent more time stopping people from getting money, than actually adding content to the game... explain how shit like game modes that were supposed to be available at launch..shit including online itself.....still aren't ready..
First they were mad people were playing the same mission repeatedly.....so they stopped it.....Then they got mad people were selling cars....so they stopped....then they got mad people were duping cars...so they stopped it...then they got mad because people kept calling for the good missions...so they chopped the payouts...They even got mad because people were using races for money and RP and damn near eliminated the RP and did eliminate $$$$ for races..
I actually looked at the Shark card prices today...$3.5 million....Cost you over $40 in real money....like man come on... They will NEVER be ahead of the hackers and at the end of the day a lot of innocent people are gonna get banned...but the real shit is this.... The Hackers will just get madder and mod the game until the point where people won't want to play.......like this God Mode shit.... people are just avoiding playing...
And while they've been doing ALLLLLLLL of this patching...they haven't added any content except for that bullshit match creator and the even more bullshit beach bum pack.. They made the perfect game....then fucked it up with perfectly terrible execution..And the funny thing is that the people they are trying to stop "hackers".... are going to evolve like a virus and find new ways to cheat.
