9 pages in and many months since the film debut, I'm SURE we're all "PROMETHEUS - DECODED" out!

But wait . . . HOL' UP!​

Although I STILL dislike the execution of this film, below is a PRACTICAL video breakdown of the film . . . that will vindicate those who, let's just say, were NOT bothered by the film. One thing though. To UNDERSTAND Prometheus, as illustrated in the following vid, fans were pretty much REQUIRED to have taken the WHOLE trip, and get immersed in the virals and fake 'Weyland' website, to get this film. This in itself, is another reason why this film fails. However, I do (and you will too) appreciate this breakdown.

Lastly, they (authors of this video) arrive at the SAME conclusion I did as far as the sequel is concerned, posted here. That is, that the 'Engineers' are and were themselves, engineered.

This movie really pissed me the fuck off!!!! Could have been good but just some really stupid ass shit going on made it unbearable!!!! :angry::angry::angry::angry:

But yeah the plot was all ova the place. THe dumbest shit EVER tho was the nigga just decidin to go kamikaze at the end. And then the white bitch open the door to let the giant alien out to kill the engineer...she don't get a fuckin scratch...don't get me started on the "operation"...bitch yanked a fuckin alien out her stomach...no internal organs fucked up...nothin...bitch stayed awake the whole time...ehhhh

But that engineer fuckin them up was the best shit to me. Gottdamn cracka can make all the movies he want about winnin against these aliens but when that shit go down fa real it's gon be a different story.

And since they borrowed so much from Sumerian ancient creation texts, if they stayed on point then the heiroglyphs would be found in Africa and the engineers would be black.

I believe during the presentation they did show that the image was also found in Africa. Sumer is in the Middle East tho, not Africa.

The Engineers don't have to be black either, If they came from a world with a red (Giant or Dwarf) sun or a brown dwarf the sunlight from those types of stars may not produce enough need for high levels of melanin. Even if they came from a planet with a yellow star like ours or even maybe a brighter/hotter blue star there are scenerios where beings could evolve without the need for large amounts of melanin.

thanks I actually JUST saw this flick the other day...

and I was disappointed.

But so far your point about having to do research BEFORE actually viewing the movie is correct.

But since we ARE still talking about it a year later,

I guess they WERE successful.
 
I am surprised at how many here didn't like it. I loved it. I guess I'm getting older. I've seen the Alien movies and liked them.
That probably plays a role as well.
 
I don't believe this film to having bad writing. If anything, it was excellent writing. I watched the film several times and caught a lot of things I didn't notice at first, which explained many of the questions I had.

It's one of those movies where you have to play close attention to detail.

It's actually one of my favorite movies now...top 5.

I heard the script for Prometheus 2 finally finished. Can't wait to see the sequel
