Healthy Beard Growing.

this is a first I have heard about brushing it to train the hair to lay down..good shit! What type of brush would you recommend?

100% boar bristle. ...the hair stores have them

The plastic bristles brushes are cut straight across on the tip and makes them sharp which can cut into the skin and cause soreness and irritate it.

A lot of good information in this thread. I just turned 30 and I want to finally grow a powerful beard. My goatee connects to my sideburns very well, but the hair on my cheeks grow in patchy. Time to use the knowledge you all are dropping in here.

Hair growth is hereditary, and usually passed on thru the mother's genes. You can try all the tricks/oils/foods you want with limited success.

My shit current...I groom it daily and use that bigen 58 cause I have a lot of grey. I comb it and then brush it with a 100% boar bristle brush and use some pomade on it to keep it soft.

I'm a Barber and the majority of Barbers I know use Bigen 59 for their hair and beards and you can tell that it's dyed. I used #58 and you can't even tell that I dyed them.

Also, Cold Pressed Castor Oil works wonders for hair in general, been using it and recommending it for a few years now.

That was a good post, Gonna grab some fresh fish and a big tub of peanuts. A nigga is not getting any younger so I have to start taking care of my health. Every notice how wealthy/rich people look healthy as shit? Skin glowing and shit

Wealthy people look healthy because they have access to the best nutrition and health care and, generally speaking, are less stressed out.

yessir...that #58 is the shit...

I think i am going to let the grey show when the dye wears off...

yeah i agree the simple stuff works...hair on your face is just like the hair on your head...you must take care of it and keep it conditioned...

my nightly routine is wash and condition it and then put a lil pomade on it brush it and that is it...

Eating stuff like salmon will help promote beard growth but again it's mostly genetic. Trust me, you may want a beard for various reasons but believe me, it's a pain the ass maintaing it.

I just rock a goatee now instead. Brushing with some tree oil and Hollywood carrot creme helps maintain it and keep it smooth.

anybody strugglin wit facial hair try these tips, they might just help you grow a full beard-I'm like 100% sure they did for me, both sides of my family are pretty hairless I'm pushin 40 and up until a year and a half ago it took forever for me to barely grow a respectable connecting goatee. I facetimed wit my pops awhile back and the nigga looked jealous wit his patchy ass:D

Blackseed oil-An Arabic associate told me to use it and you know them niggas is beard crazy-shit is used for a litany of ailments and health reasons amongst them hair growth, softening and keeping away the grays. Apparently theres a few beard growth specific products you can order internationally (Thai, Indonesia, Middle East) one specifically that works that i'd have to get the name from him again - but I dont know about that shit i remember him saying it stung

Biotin - supposed to help amongst other vitamins. in addition to possibly helping my beard grow i found yet another thing that makes my dick inconveniently hard so thats something

lastly my moms used to put on this foul smellin shit to stimulate and regrow hair and stop grays, so i tried that nasty shit too fuck it- 1 egg yolk, spoon of onion juice, small amount each of castor oil, olive oil (the kind in cvs), and if you can find it jojoba oil. I also mixed in the blackseed

sounds nutty as fuck but within a few weeks of itchiness the patches started to fill in and a nigga was sportin a full beard not long after
dont sleep you too could have a miracle beard

My issue recently has been gray hair..found my first one last week on my side burns..Im 37..what if anything do y'all do to keep it grown up..Do you dye part of it and leave a bit for the distinguished gentleman look?

b-12 shots keeps the grays away

I don't know about the combination of these things but all the items mentioned above I have seen or experienced hair health improvement with. I have a lady friend who swears by biotin and you can see youtube reviews on those using onion juice for hair health. Definitely some good info above.

I'm almost twice your age so the gray helps me to look my age. I don't do anything other than trim, wash, brush and moisturize it with shea butter each day.

Patch areas. Especially for those who have those very light fine near invisible baby like hairs in those areas that you can only see with close up mirror.

OK, cool. I've been using an extra toothbrush I have in the house to brush my beard since reading that first post. I think I'll make that my facial hair brush from now on. It already seems like a better option than my regular hair brush.

Man, if you got the gray in your beard then definitely go ahead and rock it. If your a young cat and you're going gray early (which I did) then it can help you pull older broads and the younger ones will like it because you look "distinguished" (unless of course you've got your pants sagging off your ass). I don't care why # dye your using, to me that shit always looks dyed.
