Re: ►►► OFFICIAL UFC 166 - Velasquez vs Dos Santos 3 - Sat, Oct 19th, 2013 - Houston,

Before his last fight, everyone was talking about Jon Jones going up to HW and taking out Cain. No. He won't. He can't. His size/reach advantage might help him with DC, but that white boy exposed holes in his wrestling (advantage DC) and he appeared to not have the one punch KO power DC has. That will be a great fight, but I don't think either Jones or DC can beat Cain right now. Maybe later. Who knows? But, right now? :smh:

That's why I can't put my faith in you niggas. You all switch up like it's nothing. Months ago you niggas were riding Jon Jones nutsack now you riding this Mexican's balls. I remember when Rashad lost to Machida how niggas switched on him. When Cain loses you will ride the next man's jock. You switch balls with no loyalty.

Jones is great. You act like he can't use that greatness to improve in the areas of wrestling and boxing with world class boxing and wrestling trainers.

I can see now why some black folks don't put trust in other blacks. You all will turn coat like it's nothing for another race. Jon Jones had a tough fight for the first time and now niggas are ready to show how disloyal they are.

Blacks have no faith or loyalty that's why I can take them seriously.

Cain just isn't that dude to me. He's had too many fights where he gets tagged and rocked pretty good. I've always felt the same with JDS as well not being that dude, he's far to one dimensional and we see what happens now when that one-punch power is neutralized. All and all, the HW division still doesn't have a guy that can defend the belt no longer than Fedor's 4 title fights in Pride imo.

You don't know what the fuck you're talking about, idiot. I never ONCE said Jon Jones would beat Cain. Never. In fact, I actually said that Jones would need to fight qualifying fights against game HW competition before challenging for the title to get acclimated to the size/strength differential of the bigger opponents. That's an objective analysis, not any form of dick riding, you fuckin' moron. "Loyalty???" These fighters are not my family or friends, their athletes I respect as skilled fighters. If you're on some personal emotional trip or caught up on race, that's your issue, not mine, faggot. I don't know what flip-flopping "niggas" you're referring to, but don't attribute that dumb shit to me. I'm not saying anything now that I haven't said before.

No, dumb nigga, I act like Jones AND DC are both great fighters with the capability to adjust their game. Hence, it would be a competitive fight. I'm not going to just dismiss DC as a challenger because I like Jones. You sound like a butt-hurt child, whining because somebody dared to say your favorite superhero can't beat all the other super heroes in his sleep. Wake up, son.

You are jackass. Applying a fight analysis to the overall issue of solidarity amidst the black diaspora is just monkeyshines. Shut your Oswald Bates ass up, bitch nigga. If you can't discuss fights between fighters of different races without getting stuck on race, you need to shut your cocksucker while grown men are talking, roach.

If Cain's not "that" dude at HW, who is? :dunno: He won the belt twice (with two defenses), twice beat the one man who beat him, has 11 KOs and only 2 decisions (which were both beat downs). Who else is in HW that you think will stop him from getting two more title defenses, Werdum?

I think Werdum is good test, Cain will avoid wrestling him so it'd be a test for both Cain and Werdum's new and improved standup. Cain can be KOed and he does get hit and rocked quit a bit. If Browne and Miocic's TDD is any good and they keep improving they as well can be good test, they're just as fast and more unorthodox with their striking. I just don't see him reigning that long, just like last time. People keep claiming he's the GOAT like on Sherdog and I don't see all that. He gets rocked too often and we don't know about his BJJ defense really. People are crowning him as GOAT material for too early and Werdum ain't the same guy he was during JDS fight.

I wouldn't say he's the GOAT. That's just crazy talk, this early in his reign, but he seems to be a cut above his current competition in key categories. I think Werdum's best shot is on the ground, because even though Cain can be rocked, the fact that he's recovered from getting rocked so often shows he can take a punch and still go on to destroy his opponent. Werdum's striking isn't there yet, but his ground game is wicked. Cain will not be able to pin him down and GnP him as easily. Hell, Cain couldn't even do that to JDS last night. He did a standing version of LnP (lay 'n pray) whenever he got in trouble. Werdum will be able to either get better separation or take it to the ground than JDS. I think that's going to be a more competitive fight than people give it credit for. Remember, it was Werdum who set off Fedor's retirement run and he also beat Alistair Overeem. Can't ever count a man like that out, especially when he's fighting better now than he was then.

Re: ►►► OFFICIAL UFC 166 - Velasquez vs Dos Santos 3 - Sat, Oct 19th, 2013 - Houston,

The 3rd round of Melendez-Sanchez on Saturday is one of my fave rounds in years. I've re-watched that round 4 - 5 times in the past few days, and it reminds me why we all love the sport of MMA. Melendez is clearly in control ... has suffered minimal damage and is still landing with accuracy. Diego's got the GOAT'S VAGINA leaking over his left eye (since round 1), but in true Diego fashion continues to push forward and is the aggressor in his own Nightmare/Dream kind of way. His accuracy boxing-wise has never been stellar, but he's nobody's bitch and continues to push forward (having never been stopped by KO, TKO, or sub ... and only by cut in his career). He's pushing the pace ... encouraging Gil to engage in more streetfight fisticuffs ... catches Melendez with that sweet uppercut with just under 2 mins left and momentarily assumes back control and a quick attempt at a sub along the fence. Loses position ... Gil takes standing back control ... Sanchez scores a switch on him to regain a quick second or two of positioning ... and later the round finally closes out with them engaging in leather-slinging for the final 10 seconds. That's why we're fight fans. That's why Gil's been champ in both the WEC and STRIKEFORCE in years past. That's why he went 25 mins with then-champ Ben Henderson back in the spring of this year. That's why Sanchez has had his ups & downs in and out of the Octagon over the course of the past decade. Winning TUF 1 at 185lbs back in 2005. Competing in the UFC for nearly 9 years now. Again ... having his ups and downs at 155 and 170 over the years (with the culmination being the title fight with BJ Penn years back wherein he got clearly outclassed). But yo ... again, that's why we're fight fans. It's tough to say if that was round of the year (or fight of the year) for that matter at this point considering there is so much MMA at this point in time (and so many great fights, fighters, rounds, etc) ... but yo ... I'll watch Gil or Diego compete anytime. Always have. Props due.

JDS needs to watch how Jones fight against DC if they ever fight. Im sure Jones will have a good game plain to keep him off of him.

JDS needs to work on grappling, wrestling & cardio if he ever wants to beat Cain or make it more competitive. He beat Cain in 1 minute. But Cain has kicked his ass over the course of damn near 50 minutes (10 rounds) in 2 fights.

I'm looking forward to seeing Jones-Cormier at some point. See how their wrestling and striking compare ... especially with their height and reach mismatches, but major talent levels apiece.

JDS actually did well grappling this last match... better than before. Cain couldn't take him down at will, but JDS couldn't get separation because he tried to use wrestling instead of elbows to create distance and get off the fence. The few times he did that he busted Cain's face up, but he wasn't consistent. He also didn't utilize kicks to make Cain second guess taking a shot of leg kicks to take away Cain's base. Basically JDS fought far too one dimensional to have ever had more than a puncher's chance against Cain.

Indeed - and Cain's game is hard to deal with. He doesn't allow for power punchers like JDS to set up shop and deliver their best. He's pressuring constantly. Peppering you. Taking you down (or at least trying to). Against OTHER, lesser opposition he's been able to finish them off (especially with his ground and pound). And as reports have said over the years ... he's got some of the best cardio around (at any weight division). People say they marvel at his endurance and output given all the training they do in and around AKA. It's definitely deceptive too as people probably look and see him with a softer body type. But shit ... that's heriditary & genetics-based. That cat's in damn good shape & can train with the best of 'em.
