jds clearly the better athlete but subpar corner, no one inform him to explode of the cage, or if you gone to use the cage like anderson,then go for the drip, or try for a take down, and instead of bulking up, he needs to bring his weight down to increase is cardio. He needs a new camp. but cane did he his thing, stay calm, control punches, and give him no room.

I still don't see Cain holding the belt for more than 2 more fights maybe. That recovery has helped him in a few fights including this one, but it won't last long.​

I think Cain is a good fighter but he is no elite fighter like Anderson Silva or GSP. Somebody will take the belt from him.

If Dos Santos stops throwing those power shots and starts throwing combos he would have given Cain problems. Dos Santos might need to go to another camp because with his camp he will never beat Cain again

Cain was hurt when fighting Dos the first time. Cain has supreme endurance, wrestling, and striking. A teammate would know this. Especially a teammate who can make 205 like it ain't shit.

Cain is the best athlete in the division. Period. When you combine that with his fighting skills, he is damn near impossible to beat when healthy.

its not about Cain but the lack of depth in the HW division

Cormier is off table and he beat JDS twice. There is no one else worth mentioning.

My thoughts exactly... I don't like game plans but man if JDS had one he would have beaten Cain, bc he did exactly the same shit he did in the 2nd fight except he didn't over train this time, he should stay off the cage, use elbows and knees and go for more submission!!!

Cain and DC def ain't happening after watching the post fight conference. They are definitely teammates and buddies as well. DC talking about getting in the middle of the mix with the LHWs.​

Really enjoyed the card. Good mixture of fighters and outcomes. Dominance again from Cain. Great to see a heavyweight with cardio and a balanced game. Sanchez-Melendez was plenty of fun! We ate like kings again. Shitload of beer, pop, baked chicken, pizzas x 2, almonds, choc-covered almonds, pretzels, nachos. Shout out to the homies!

Totally agree. We were calling the fight the bonus for FIGHT OF THE NIGHT before they even entered the Octagon last night. Sanchez has been putting on fun fights for YEARS. Shit ... he won TUF 1 back in the spring of 2005 over 8.5 years ago or so now. Won that shit at 185lbs. Has fought quite a bit at 155 and 170. Gave Gilbert a war tonight (former Strikeforce champion) ... and hell ... Gilbert almost beat Ben Henderson for the title earlier this year in another credible battle :cool: - that's why we love MMA. Those cats were swinging ... we gave them standing ovations at the muthafuckin' party and were having a great time. Shit ... if I remember correctly Sanchez had 5 FOTN bonus awards going into this fight, and shit ... he scored a double-bonus with Martin Kampmann in their war a few years back at 170lbs (they got an additional $120 or 130k apiece).

Make sure to watch Sanchez-Melendez. 3rd fight on the main card. One of the best scraps of the year ... especially when they get into their little flurries. Watch out :eek::lol:

he cant fight Cormier and he dominated Cain the last 2 fights


the HW division is thin. And 2 & 3 guys are off the table for Cain.

Before his last fight, everyone was talking about Jon Jones going up to HW and taking out Cain. No. He won't. He can't. His size/reach advantage might help him with DC, but that white boy exposed holes in his wrestling (advantage DC) and he appeared to not have the one punch KO power DC has. That will be a great fight, but I don't think either Jones or DC can beat Cain right now. Maybe later. Who knows? But, right now? :smh:
