When I brought this up dudes were analyzing it like the last season of Breaking Bad :D

First off I feel like OBFCL should be disqualified or graded differently because with so many Ghost features I feel like it was the best DUO debut album...

Meth album was rushed and SOUNDS like it even all these years later...

and also the later albums didn't have RZA's full and undivided attention like the others.

I actually think it goes between GZA & ODB...

GZA's...I think lyrically intelligent well produced classic hip hop album wins...

but ODB's is a damn game changer...NOTHING sounds like it then or now and it BANGS!!! Unique creative and completely off the chain...and THE best album cover.

Tough but I voted GZA. It was a three way race for me between GZA, Raekwon and Ghostace. I voted GZA because the other two albums were full of guest appearances. There's nothing wrong with that but as far as holding down an album on your own GZA did the best out of the three.

Tough call but give me "Return of the 36 Chambers" all day. Out of all the albums, that is the one I felt the most. I truly believe that Dirt Dog when into the both and just freestyled off the dome. Plus the beats on there where GOLD!!

Tical was overrated, imo. Still a great album but not what its hyped to be.
OB4CL is a tight album.
Supreme Clientele was better than "Ironman" by far.
Liquid Swords is my second favorite Wu solo album.
Bobby D was tight, but I'm not a huge fan of RZA's rapping.

The other kats had good albums, but they were truly only shadows behind ODB, GZA, Meth, Rae, and Ghost.

Brooklyn Zoo :itsawrap:

GZA

OBFCL was Ghost and Rae.

ODB - Dope but because GZA joint was possibly in the top 10 Hip Hop Cds ever cant go with Dirt

Ghost - Honerable Mention.

Meth - Had the World on lock (Big and Pac both got work on there own joints. Big held his more, when he came on and said "FUck you losers" I was like oh snap" But his first joint wasnt the same as those features.

Good thread

This is real tough. I personally loved Meth's debut solo, it has some of thee single most unique sounds as far as production and it was done great. But both Ghost and Rae's albums were pretty much albums you can listen all the way through. Then GZA's was just sick and lyrically untouchable...I don't know man...

OB4CL or the Purple Tape and its not even close, except for GZA Liquid Swords...but it is far behind the greatness of the Purple Tape

Damn if I don't agree completely. Those are my two favorite Wu solo joints.

OB4CL-- is the majority pick due to its hype and buzz and exquisite production but i dont desire play it no mo :smh:

ODB- is one of my favs but i dont play it no mo WAY ahead of its time but too many funny songs not enough serious for me to deem it # 1........ :smh:

GZA - Liquid Swords is one of my favs but i dont play it no mo plus I recall skipping trax

The only album I play and cant w8 to play today in my current state is I play it all the way through no skipping at all EVA

Ghostface Killah - "Ironman" so there u have it

I judge on how I feel now about it
Not how I felt then:yes:

I agree but I like Bobby Digital too

aside OBFCL, i will say Iron Man. Capadonna shouldnt even be an option. I will never forget the night i heard Winter Warz. I just knew that dudes album would be a classic. Man..................

Pretty Toney album is tight too.

This was always a toss up for me between Cuban Linx and Liquid Swordz.
