HE was solid in all 3. I can't tell you what he did before that because I didn't ;like him. But these films were dope and he was good in them. I have no opinion on that Gigli shit or that other bullshit he was doing.

I think with Snyder and maybe Nolan in the background giving him guidance I think he will pull this off.
He's definitely an underrated actor IMO and has taken some heat for some poor career choices but he's stepped his game up in every way since his career dived after he and J-Lo got such backlash around the time of Gigli and people just were sick of hearing about them.
I think they will surprise people.
With me not being a comic book fan I'm more concerned/curious about how you do a movie with both Batman and Superman and how does one pull that off.

And Superman Returns and Green Lantern were trash because they had trash story's. Look at Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises. You could've put 50 Tyson in the lead role and the movie still would've been good. Nolan was why that shit worked.

Jaime Foxx was forever known as Bunz in my eyes, and I could never take him seriously until I saw Kingdom Come. Flipped my whole shit around, and then stamped his vesatility with Django.

In the eyes of most, redemption isn't an option. That's just human fuckery at it's finest, but all the signs point to Affleck making this role work so long as he gets it right.
Many people keep bringing up Daredevil, and while yes, it was an absolute mess, that was a decade ago. The greatest thing he did was to admit his mistake. ANYBODY can bounce back once you can admit so.
Again, Affleck played a serious role in Argo, and maybe an even more serious role in The Town. Probably smiled once in that whole flick.
Nothing says he CAN'T play a billionaire, arrogant, playboy superhero.
