They don't need this Zimmerman case for a precedent; it's their law.

I looked at some of the cases for Stand Your Ground (I know basic self defense is the issue in Zimmerman's trial).
In one case, two neighbors got into a fight and shot each other(one neighbor black, one white). No one died and the case was dismissed since they both had claims. Not to mention one of the neighbors pointed the gun at other people. Where the fuck they do that at? No charges???????????? That's wild, wild west go home and sleep it off type shit.
One drug dealer got Stand My Ground twice. Killing two brothers 2 years apart. In the second shooting, he admitted to chasing the guy down the street trying to blast him.

Mind you, he was a felon and wasn't supposed to have the gun. In 49 other states, he is under the jail for admitting to chasing down the other cat.
Another cat shot an unarmed person in the face DURING a drug deal and was acquitted(Much like Zimmerman, he was denied stand your ground) because he was on the ground being choked and feared for his life.
I think you get the picture. What I get from the cases is it pays to not have any witnesses. Furthermore, if they do get you for manslaughter, they stretch you out. What gets a lot of people knocked is going to retrieve the weapon and then returning to the "danger" AND/OR witnesses.
Another case comes to mind. And this is something I feel is happening in certain areas. People are "setting" up folks Bronson style. A man went jogging at fucking MIDNIGHT with a gun with a laser sight and $1,000 on him.

When he was approached by two teens, he pulled out his weapon and said "you want a problem"(something along those lines according to the surviving teen). He killed one of the teens. He beat the case.
They just need to call Florida Deadwood.
