actually the bad contract he signed he didnt get until he had already played for the hawks for about 4 years had nothing to do with phoenix

Look what happen last night.

Bucks actually signed Jeff Teague to an offer sheet.

After signing Mayo and Teague that means Brandon Jennings is up for grabs but the Mavericks fucked up giving Jose who is 32 20 plus million contract and signing Devin Harris.

It would make no sense to sign Jennings now but it should have never came to this. I mean if your chasing Dwight Deron and CP3 and lose and settle for B players understandable (Jennings) but to settle for players like Jose. Now Atlanta is likely going to pull up some sign and trade deal for Jennings

Al, Milsap and Jennings. The Atlanta Hawks are likely going to have a better off season than the Mavericks.

Billups has reached agreement on a two-year contract to return to the Detroit Pistons, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

The deal will be worth $5 million-plus for Billups, league sources said.

Billups, 36, hopes to finish his career where it blossomed in the glory years of the Billups-Richard Hamilton-Ben Wallace Pistons of the mid-2000s. Billups will play the part of mentor for young Detroit guard Brandon Knight, and be a rotation guard off the bench for Detroit.

Pistons general manager Joe Dumars has long regretted trading Billups to the Denver Nuggets for the expiring contract of Allen Iverson in the 2008-09 season. Now, Dumars has brought back Billups with a mandate to nurture and perform for the Pistons.

factor in the inflation adjustment and tiered contracts. joe johnson ate off his days with the suns. not even debatable.

I would have rather went after Teague or even Jennings who I don't even like as a player instead of a 32 year old PG and we aren't contenders

Paying 7 mill a year for a player to stunt the growth of our young players and keep us mediocre

Minus whale get a young PG to build with :smh:

joe johnson has YET to have reached the $20M mark in ANY season he has played to date.

the fact that the hawks got the nets to absorb the worst part (back end) of the deal doesn't mean shit.
