~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - The Miami Heat wins!

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals~~

Miami match up with the Spurs excellent(if you ask me). The fine line that could and did separate them was, the timing of the matchups.

Parker/Neal, Joseph, De Colo, then Mills - Chalmers/Cole
Green/Manu, Neal, Joseph - Wade/Allen/Miller
Lenard - James
Duncan, Diaw - Bosh
Splitter/Diaw, Bonner - Anderson/Haslem

Haslem and Bosh should get early focus. Get UD and Bosh(inside and out that 17ft jumper)going, then find Wade, Rio and James. This is within the first 7 mins of the game, then sub correct.

Splitter was out there on the perimeter chasing Bosh around in the first half, he's not Hibbert...you have no clear advantage by having Bosh so far from the basket. For some reason, people seem to think Miami has this huge advantage in the post against the Spurs & they don't. Also, those matchups aren't as favorable as people would like to believe. They're going to have to execute in the half court, period.

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 1 - 0) ~~

I read many pages and I am seeing very few people giving the Spurs props on how they approach basketball games. The arrogance and overconfidence I am seeing from some on here is straight up shameful and disrespectful. I hope for the sake of some that you are not forced to eat your words. The Spurs are going to present a great finals because:

1. Veteran team with HOF talent.
2. Great coach.
3. Fundamentally sound.
4. Poised.
5. Disciplined *sans Ginoblli*
6. Efficient offensively.
7. Battle tested.
8. Healthy for the most part.
9. Not afraid to go 9-10 deep.
10. Spurs reserves will play better at home.

Even in the post game interviews the Spurs organization gave the Heat props, Meanwhile the Heat talked about what they did not do. It is that perceived lack of respect from the Heat players and Heatnation fans alike towards any Heat opponent which make them easy to dislike and cheer against despite being able to back it up. Now whether or not that perception about the Heat is real or not, does not matter but that is the perception. It ain't just salty fans from the Bulls, Knicks, and Lakers. Nor is it just salty CAC's who will hate Lebron because they just will. Many fans from past generations have hate what Bball has become overall and Miami's percieved perception is the basis of their hatred towards them and those seem to be the majority outside of NYC, Chi, and LA.

Ends rant. I know some will agree some will hate but it was said.

His 4 MVPs reflected his body of work...

exactly

but D town said all mvp's go to the hall..

I have a sneaking feeling Iverson will not be inducted.. or they will take their sweet time in doing so.. imo he's a first ballot

huh?

Iverson gets in on his first ballot

thats not even debatable with all those scoring titles, his spot on the scoring list, all star selections, mvp season, and so on

Re: ~~Miami Heat vs San Antonio - 2013 NBA Finals - (Spurs 1 - 0) ~~

Damn LBJ said he wasn't shooting bc he was getting tripled teamed so he passed the ball and his teammates couldn't make a shot. The Spurs are double and triple teaming any player that drives hole but he makes it look like it's just him getting tripled teamed. If you can't get to the hole it's this other thing you could try and it's called SHOOTING A JUMPER! It's funny When Melo or Durant score 30 to 40 points and their team lose it's always what they didn't do but LBJ scores 15 to 20 points and the heat lose it's what his teammates didn't do but he made it look good with those useless assist

If there's one area Lebron could be more like MJ or Kobe it would be making his teammates fear him more. Jordan's teammates didn't miss big game open shots because they knew Michael may assault them at practice or locker room. Kobe seems to have his teammates shook too. Everyone has to answer to someone... Lebron takes it too cool sometimes, he could score 38 a game but why should he? They get paid too

LBJ get more passes than any player in sports history. How can you say he can score 40 ppg but he chose not to bc his teammates are getting paid to score. LBJ is the star of the team so he should take over the 4th quarter in every game but he disappears every time. I see him no more than a player like Pippen a player that can have big games but I don't see him the way ESPN brainwashed everyone else into seeing him. While you're at it name 1 superstar in the league that couldn't average 40 ppg if they really wanted too.

I agree he's a stronger more athletic Pippen with a touch of Magic; as far as passes that's people buying into hype. Lebron has no template so I don't get caught up in the silly comparisons. He could get a little harder on his teammates...with the exception of Birdman his whole squad has played poorly.

Joey Crawford Will Referee Game 2 of Heat-Spurs 2013 NBA Finals

By
Dan Favale
on June 9, 2013

Hopefully, the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs have been practicing their faces of disbelief, because Joey Crawford will be refereeing Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

Per Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Crawford, along with Ed Malloy, Ken Mauer and Marc Davis (alternate), will be sporting his black-and-whites Sunday night.

Of course, the only name anyone cares about is Crawford's. It was breaking news when he was seen checking into a Miami hotel, like he was an A-list celebrity being tailed by paparazzi.*

Really, he's more of a sideshow than a celebrity.*From in-game dancing to poor clock management, every game Crawford refs is an adventure.

The Spurs know this. To be more specific: Tim Duncan knows this.
dancing_original.gif

Game 2 will mark the first finals game Crawford has officiated involving the Spurs since he was suspended in 2007 after he ejected Duncan for laughing.

The incident, which occurred in an April 15 game against the Dallas Mavericks, forced Crawford to miss the remainder of the 2006-07 campaign, playoffs included. His suspension was lifted prior to the start of the 2007-08 season.

Afterward, Duncan—who was fined $25,000 for his role in the incident—told ESPN.com that Crawford had a "personal vendetta" against him.

“He looked at me and said, ’Do you want to fight? Do you want to fight?" Duncan explained. “If he wants to fight, we can fight."

Though Duncan and Crawford are more than six years removed from the debacle, tensions have continued to surface. This past Halloween, Duncan and Tony Parker were photographed in costume, pointing toy guns at a party-goer dressed up as Crawford, according to Ben Golliver of Sports Illustrated.

San Antonio isn't the only Game 2 participant who has incurred the wrath of Crawford, either. He was reffing what quickly became a flop fest in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals, a contest Miami lost.

An excessive number of questionable/blown calls and obvious flops down the stretch prompted the league to launch an investigation*that resulted in a handful of fines.*

While it was the Indiana Pacers who won, it was Crawford who stole the show, as per usual.

One can only hope that we're spared from a duplicate, Joey Crawford-trademark performance in Game 2.

I looked at the record books. There is no record of a "Derrick Rose" ever playing for the University of Memphis.

I got the Heat winning by 15+....

LBJ goes and has a Great game... Wade, Bosh or Allen will have a Great game as Well.

How is this guy still employed? Obvious bias, threatening players, sideshow antics and choreography while officiating?!?!
