If Miami doesn't shut down Parker the series is over. It's really that simple. Sefalosha locked up Tony last year and they lost 4 straight to the Thunder. If LeBron doesn't start Game 2 on Tony, Spo is a complete idiot.

You don't want to put LeBron on Parker for long stretches... He is a great defender, but that Pick and Roll is a son of a bitch, and they will where him out with that, plus, it will calls unusual rotations on the Heat defense and cause more problems...

Here are four bang bang 50-50 plays that best represent their complacancy play...
1- The Tap out by James where he didn't tap in hard enough leading to a S.A. easy bucket..
2- The play were Wade grabbed the rebound failing to secure it, instead it fell out of bounds, allowing the Spurs to score..
3-The jump ball where LeBron knocked the ball and hit it out of bounds..
4- and of course the last Parker shot, where LeBron failed to secure his ground allowing Parker to hit the bank shot with the clock winding down..
Get one of those key plays and the Heat may have won. Oh and the careless turnovers didn't help any.

If I were teaching my kid how to hoop i'd sit him down and make him watch how Tony Parker plays.

I don't even think niggas remember back when Parker couldn't shoot. Nigga had no jumper when he came into the league. His progression from them to now is crazy. Never gets his due but he and Duncan will be those guys who people appreciate once they retire.

ONe big mistake Spo did was put Cole on Parker with James out of the game, and on the spin play, I know what Cole was doing because I've done it many times myself, that was over play him to where he thought the help was, but the baseline defender, Bose did not pick up on it (even though he should have).
Spo took him out right after that, and place Rio on him, where Parker really made him look bad with an uncontested jumper right in his mug... Then they put LeBron at PG forcing him to be more of a facilitator and less agressive..
I would have put Cole back in kept James in the game allowing Norris to handle the rock and posting James with dribble penetration, something he was getting all game long.

Heat don't have a choice. Parker is too good to double team and even if you force him to give up the ball initially, he'll get it back later in the possession after he runs through all those off ball screens. The Heat have no answer for him or Duncan.
