Disagree... Littlefinger never had Ned's back...Catelyn has always been his goal. She was always engaged to the Starks for political reasons. Littlefinger resented that his true love could never be with him due to these "Starks" he tried to physically fight Brandon and lost. He realized that battle was their way so he would destroy the Starks through subterfuge and win Catelyn. He rose up to in KL and made it to the small council, then Lyanna Stark is abducted, Brandon (who beat his ass) rushed to KL and is taken prisoner, his father is summoned to testify on his behalf and all 3 Starks die!?? Littlefinger controls pussy and money in KL...Varys stated he's the most dangerous person in the 7 kingdoms. All actions are based on incentives; and Littlefinger only incentive has been Catelyn. He told Ned to his face "I told you not to trust me" when Ned made his move. Ned was under the assumption the City Watch would back him because Littlefinger (the man that paid them) was on his side. He wanted Ned out of the picture for marrying his woman...I think he had Jon Arynn killed just to get Ned to KL so he could ruin him, Littlefinger also planted the seed of a Lannister assassination plot on Bran in Catelyn's head when she arrived in KL, which started the war of 5 kings through Catelyn capturing Tyrion.

Littlefinger is not to be fucked with...he's got a castle and is set to be Lord of the Vale soon. An army follows, no way the people responsible for Catelyn's death go unpunished and he's gonna get Sansa one way or another (she's a younger Catelyn)

Wrong, Little finger was ready to help Ned but he didn't agree with how Ned wanted to do the coup sohe sided with the Lannisters

Wouldn't matter if Ned was in full agreement with him he would have betrayed him. Ned choked the shit out of him when Catelyn arrived in KL...his name is Littlefinger cause Ned's brother cut his shit off! An enemy is more consistent than an ally, they can be counted on to mislead you 100%. Ned lost by failing to recognize Littlefinger as an ENEMY...partially due to his wife's affinity for Littlefinger

Maybe Littlefinger knows that eventually, the Lannisters would self-destruct when given all the power, but if the Starks gain the power *by way of Stannis becoming king because Ned exposes Joffrey to the public*, he would never get close to his number one objective. *getting Cat...pun intended*

I'm sure he did not see the Red Wedding coming though.

We are going to have to agree to disagree, the reason Little finger betrayed Ned was because how Ned wanted to go about things was a losing battle and Little finger isn't joining no losing team. I'm sure he isn't delusional enough to think Cathlyn would jump in his arms after ned died, that was the last thing on his mind. I'm sure Varys would have done the same even though he liked Ned but he doesn't like him enough to die with him.

I honestly thought he was going to refuse in the first place..I thought he was basically going to tell him get the fuck out..... Sad thing about this episode is there is no way they can top this with the season finale.

I wouldn't say he was "liked" but more place in your lap as a consolation/revenge prize in regards to his father. Based on how OTHER shows are written you would have naturally concluded he would have likely been the one to Avenge his father Ned Starks execution. Obviously, "if you think this story...."

Fam, explain this scene to me. When I first watched it i thought Jon was going to grab her and hoist her on the horse. But he rode the fuck past her, past the trees and was mutherfucking gonnnnn...

Why? Seriously? Why like that? I assumed it must of been some-sort strategy? Especially when you consider his character it doesn't seem like he would have left her like that. No?
