My point isn't so much pro LeBron (cause I've been saying this for years before LeBron). They tend to place too much emphasis on shot blocking and DPY over looking key components such as foot speed and being able to keep up with a high powered offensive player.. Sure Gasol is a good shot blocker, but that if you practically run into him... I'd like to see the award to to a guard or even a forward who matches up with the top players every night, not a one trick pony who can only guard a small portion of the floor..

Well the league caught up and I believed updated the rule last season..kinda pointless if they are gonna keep rewarding the player shots if a team is in the penalty..then why even change the rule

They call it in the "penalty" for a reason bro. What would be the penalty if not automatic line play? Without that you're doing the defenses job for them and in under 3second situations you could just reach in and handcheck without penalty and totally screw the offense out of a chance to take a shot or get to the line in a decisive situation. You could essentially use it to rob the offense of a position without the penalty.
Gasol vacated the paint to help out at the corner three... Don't know why especially with Durant driving hard to the paint.
