The show has been loyal to the Green Arrow comics. Tommy Merlyn will become Merlyn the magic archer and Laurel's mother showed up to tell her that she is the Black Canary. Even his sister's nickname is Speedy who was Green Arrow's sidekick in the comics. I like how it's playing out...
I think we'll see Roy Harper again.
Just like Marvel should stop letting Jeph Loeb near anything, DC needs to put Geoff Johns on everything. He was the writer for the last ep and it was very good.
Damn them for only having Rekha Sharma in that bried "Battlestar" reunion in the "Dodger" episode.
Undamn them for bringing back Deadshot.
Bets on who dies first: Diggle's girl or Queen's new girl.
I think they're going to leave his dad as the Black Archer/Arrow/whatever. It took Oliver years to be Arrow and his dad years to be the BA. They dont have years for Tommy to learn to be that good.

They're way more mature than Smallville! Some of the critical development have happened on this show within the first 2 season. It took Smallville damn near 5,6,7 season for OBVIOUS shit to happen....

I don't think it totally sux but the island is what keeps me mostly interested. I can do without the soap opera bull.
If they did either of these, it wouldn't be a CW show.

I still watch it and enjoy it, I just hadn't gotten around to this latest episode or gotten back to this thread for the others.
I think it's pretty well written all the way around.
So olivers stepfather who was kidnapped or something... I guess nobody on the show cares that he's missing or anything. I mean oliver has the set up to track him down and he doesn't seem to give a shit. Hes tracking down drug dealerscand assassins but can't be bothered to look into the missing person in his house.

me too...but the thing is there are only like 5 characters and there is only so much you can do on the island after awhile. Fingers crossed.
But I STILL cant wait for an all island episode.
But they dont want to do some LOST bullshit on there...
It gets mighty close to SMALLVILLE sometimes and I hope they can keep improving...cause this is the first show I've seen in a long time that constantly improves and corrects its mistakes.
They even bringing back Laurel's fine ass black assistant too
He's dealing with an organization that has bigger & better resources than him. Also they have been doing this a long. Remember Ollie is no Bruce Wayne. Bruce has been training since he was 9 years old. Ollie has only training for five years & this is Green Arrow year one!
He has been looking for his stepfather. It just takes time.
