The Americans: The 2nd best espionage/spy show on TV

glad he died. he shouldn't have been stalking outside her house after she told his punk ass no every single time.
he died a simp, good riddance. unfortunately other people had to die all because he's a simp.

as soon as i saw the police cars pull up and him reach for his gun i was like  and turned the channel

i'm only half joking atleast he is compontent and smart. I can see why a young black dudes that want to buck the system would get into bed with (pun intended) with the KGB

and damn nice move Armando stashing the ring. Dude was way more than goofball when he wasnt chasing tail

damn Stan good police

damn Phillip trying to sellout Gregory. Is he right or is he letting his feelings get the way? If Elizabeth wasnt attached I wonder if she would want to take him out

Phillip is right aint no black dude trying to move the Moscow

damn they aint Gregory a choice pinning Armando's murder to him

I like the fact he is giving a nod to the Spook who sat by the door...

he got his own group of Black spies who are better then the damn gov't.

But like I said earlier the REASON Elizabeth is mad is just ridiculous.

But it seems like that is the only mistake they have made in storytelling so far so I will see where they go wit it first.

By part.

1st part
Ole girl was wack for faking like she had feelings for Amador, yes he was trying to get back with you but you had a new dude and you weren't interested stop the bullshit.
The motel meeting was funny, every interaction with them is funny now because we know he's a spy fraternizing with the fbi. It looks like they could really be friends in another world.
Poor vlad.. he didn't even wanna be in the shit but family put him in the game and now he's gone.

2nd part
hilarious she gets no respect in that household because even the kids see what she's doing is bullshit. like how he told her he doesn't need permission to stop by cause he don't you acting pissy be pissy with yourself, i do what i want. enjoyed that.
derek's team fucked up royally. how didn't they find the ring but the tow yard did? that just doesn't make sense to me. stashed... it couldn't have been really stashed like that if he found it rushing or not..they fucked up.
the lady was fine as hell in dudes house that went out the window. knew he would get caught tho, too many people this time.

3rd part
enjoyed the scene where she's trying to stand up for greg and the husband isn't having it at all. don't like how that feels when someone you care about is being shit on right? im glad the husband wasn't trying to be cool about it, fuck her and fuck him. greg really fell in love with her smfh what a dunce get him to l.a.? then he gone say they'd do anything she asked them to.. no bruh that's just how you work :smh:
"let's just get out of here you and me":lol:

4th part
pinned that shit on you greg :lol:
funny that the fbi agent's wife is thinking the same thing as Greg and smh @ greg throwing his last bit of hate out there. talking about find somebody else what a simp, man he sound soft talking bout he love her cause she strong :smh:

could've and should've went to moscow, instead died on the street.

oh well.

I'm still enjoying the show overall, but the writers are getting a little sloppy.

What's the point of them actually separating? If the marriage was a sham, and she's content to treat it as just her cover (as she's said before) as long as they get their work done, then why go through the mechanics of actually having Phillip move out?

Did I miss something?

Goddamn, they just keep emasculating my man.

Phillip is legitmately in love with Elizabeth, Elizabeth has feelings for him as well now. But she puts the mission 1st. She thinks that those feelings could compromise the mission. (episode when they took out the assassin) Plus its hard to trust your S/O when they lie for a living. (episode when phillip cheated with ex & lied about; Elizabeth having an 'affair' with Gregory). Phillip basically concluded that since he couldnt have his cake and eat to maybe they should get a divorce (personally i think he was bluffing) and Elizabeth agreed. For Phillip its too tough playing house and being in love with someone that doesnt feel the same now that all the cards are on the table.

honestly imo this is the most nuanced/realistic portrayal of marriage I've seen on tv in a minute.

Oh yeah, I agree, especially the last episode that painted the difficulty the kids were having. The execution is good, I'm just wondering about the logic used to get them there.

I'm gonna have to revisit the last two episodes. Phillip got caught in a lie and the bitch flipped sayin it's over. Next thing I know they're sitting at the dinner table saying Phillip was moving out. I missed the part where he was bluffing.

I could be wrong and the bluffing was definately how i read the scene. Elizabeth wanted to cut off their emotions again but Phil said he couldnt and he brought up the seperation.

my only complaint is that shit moves way too on the relationship front

they went from faking it, to loving each, other to having a falling out when Elizabeth sntiched on Phil, to Elizabeth wanting to make it work out & phil lying, to elizabeth finding out and them agreeing seperate

thats alot of ups & downs in a relationship in just 10 episodes or so.

and thank god the kids havent gotten annoying...yet

In a way, their fucked up relationship works for them, because it puts them above suspicion. When they looked perfect, the FBI dude was on them. Now that they separated the FBI dude is chillin with him.

oh shit...Meet the Parents. 'Clark' got this chick open

and Elizabeth chick stay throwing mixed signals at Phillip.

didnt see Granny setting her up. A nice swerve with Granny having a relationship with Victor. Grannie is close to Elizabeth cause she is basically a younger version of herself but Victor didnt want Elizabeth to make the same mistakes he made. Elizabeth & Granny got their own not so cold-war going on

and Stan couldnt turn that pussy down. I aint mad him though

so close! but she was playing too many games he couldn't pick up that she wanted to take him back. too bad it took her mentors death to realize what she had and to stop the lonely old handler influence her feelings.

excellent episode.

damn did a great setting up the finale with all the swerves...

- the maid finds jesus and gives up the clock
- martha & 'clark' get married
- Nina comes clean to her ppl and wants to be triple agent
- Elizabeth continues to be unable to hide her feelings but it looks like Phillip is trying to move on
- the feds are now offically looking for couple as their illegals

DAMN

what a great episode

they just can't seem to get their marriage straight. they love each other both of them just too proud to say it and get back together. They should, they belong together. It was hilarious when they went to the wedding though :lol: if everyone there only knew...

Nina bout to be a triple agent?

House keeper done snitched and came clean, now she gonna die if they find out. I don't know why she even snitched it was done with. Now you and your son gonna get killed.

FBI is actively looking for a couple now, stan reminds me of hank from breaking bad. his instincts are just too good for his own good.

Phillip has martha wide open! shit is hilarious. I wonder how that's going to play out.

:smh: It won't end well for Martha.

it can't possibly end well for her. She just married a dude she can't talk about, can't live with, can't do anything but meet and fuck and go to dinner 100 miles away from where they actually live while bugging her bosses office with some shit right at the time they've found a bug in the dudes office so more than likely they're going to be sweeping shit :smh:

Nina is crazy, what the fuck is she gone do?

I knew that young pussy was gonna come back to bite Stan.

And, damn, I can't believe the season finale is already here. It feels like they're just getting started. I love shows like this where they take the time to setup the various arcs and then the payoffs are just off the hook once the season gets rolling. They burned through a lot of story this season: Phillip and Elizabeth, Stan declaring war, Nina flipping twice, Phillip taking a new wife, and now the FBI knows they're listening.

I can just imagine the finale cliffhanger feeling like one of those "oh, shit" game changing-type endings to set up season two.

It for sure will be.
its a genuinely good story. im glad i started watching this show

damn...bitches LOVE getting married:smh: - u can easily fool them with this married shit. Bugging dude's office on the promise of some marriage.

FBI dude getting some prime russian pussy!!! I lust that chick!!

Great show and thread. For my money, i think Stan's arc is about to be complete. Nina loved Vlad like a brother, is guilty that she never gave him a chance, and is pissed that the guy she is fucking and snitching for did it and lied to her face. Doesn't look like he has much of a future to me.

on top of his wife knowing and his son hating him.

one of them is gonna go though. either him or nina.

How is Akardi going to promote the mole?

Can't that's why it seemed like a last hurrah. Send me to jail or let me redeem myself (get revenge)

I hope that he doesn't lose his family because of it (fbi agent) meaning they go after his kid or his wife , or better yet order Phil and his wife to carry out the orders.
