this is sooooo bad. I'm trashing all my LL albums
Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
Let's minimize the atrocities that were committed so they can feel comfortable with it.
Is that your logic?
that can't be what you got from what i said. especially when i just went off on ll in an earlier post for the line about forgetting the iron chains. fuck ll for that line. that line is meant to do just what you're talking about and i'm not with it. but i am saying that there is a bigger representation of the flag to many whites that doesn't include racism for them. and it helps to understand that side of it when looking at the bigger picture.
I have had white people tell me that before that it just represents southern pride or whatever or lynard skynard and there is some other band who its their symbol I forget the name. When I told them what it means to me they acted like I was inventing shit or something. I honestly dont trust a word they say or a thing they do so I dont believe any of it that they supposedly dont know.

i think whites, with their sense of self-entitlement and air of superiority need that beat/disciplined/slapped out of them.
There can be no compromise. That is the legacy their ancestors left for them. They must accept and live down the shame.
If they cannot accept and be ashamed of what their ancestors did (as easily as they love to be "proud"), then there has been no progress and they still have learned nothing.
Germany accepted and rejected their evil past. They are ashamed of it and make it a crime to even give the nazi salute.
Whites, on the other hand, in the united states have not. They still want to claim that vile period of history is their heritage. Well, nothing has been learned, and these hard lessons will have to be taught over and over again until the whites accept their responsibility and pay the full price for their crimes against humanity.

where are you fromthat's fine if that how you feel. but i dont see how that attitude helps race relations. especially since there are whites that clearly dont feel that way and believe as we do that the flag is a symbol of hate for blacks. its your right to disregard all cacs but im not sure if that makes you any better than them. and don't take this like im taking shots at you because im not. i totally get it. but its not an attitude that does much for progress' sake.
where are you from
where is that gif from
i was not expecting you to say anywhere in the south, BUT...houston. so i see it all. im in the belly of the beast when it comes to racist cacs.
not sure which movie the gif is from but i do remember than another member posted a link to the movie in another thread. they said the movie/scene sucks and i never bothered to check.

i still think you're giving them too much credit. of the ones that fuck with that flag...the vast majority of them bitches know what it means. and at the very least the rest of them know the connotation and choose to use it anyway on some 'well that ain't how i mean it' shit, which is in itself veiled antagonism.

again, i disagree with this part because the larger part of that rebel flag culture knows what the fuck they are doing and the ones that fly and or support that flag that don't "mean it that way" are the (small) minority.again, im not saying that all whites arent aware of the racist ideology that accompanies the flag. what i am saying is that there is a larger culture attached to the flag that is not completely about racism for them. im not defending their love of it. they should all be smart enough to disregard it altogether. but what i am saying is that the younger white kids are at least trying to change some of the attitudes and we should recognize the ones that are. its a little unfair for us to lump them in with everyone else if they are trying to show and prove that they are beyond that shit. that flag is so heavily intertwined in their culture that if brad paisley made a song saying "its time to put away the flag", he would be ostracized. but if he can move the conversation forward with a song like this, it lays the groundwork for the "fuck the flag" song down the road.
basically, im just saying that there is more to the situation than, "all those muthafuckas are racist and fuck em!" i understand the sentiment but its a little deeper than that.

and i'm in no way saying fuck all whites or they're all racist BUT i am saying that +95% of the ones waving this flag know what the fuck they are doing.
you make it sound like that flag is benign to most of them and a small fringe element uses it for it's original racist ass intent, and i contend that it is just the opposit.
come on sammy what?most of them? come on sammy. i'm saying the opposite. that there is a smaller, younger contingent that doesn't feel the way most of the other ones do about that flag and that they are the ones trying to change it.
now you're correcting it to 'smaller' but my statement was based on your original use of the word larger.Originally Posted by Mad Genius

if larger is not what you meant then your wording was flawed, not my interpretation.
nigga are you seriously saying you made larger mean smaller because of the word culture behind it? larger culture so what it's a smaller group of people who weigh more?larger CULTURE
larger is an adjective to the word culture, bro. not larger in the sense of "a large amount of people".![]()
the wording is not flawed, homie. just the your understanding on this one.
that is definitely what it says to us. but that's not 100% what it always represents to some of them. believe it or not, some whites especially the younger ones dont think of slavery right off the bat the way we do when it comes to that fucked up flag. they see it as a bigger representation of culture and a way of life that has nothing to do with racism/slavery. now the older ones?? they know exactly what the fuck it means. im not surprised that a singer like brad paisley is trying to get white people to change their outlook on that shit because he and many others are embarassed by it. but they dont want to shit on their parents. in a fucked up way, this is them trying to make an adjustment. but its hard not to be offended by it.

take the grammar L, man. i get your point but you said that shit wrong.
you're not missing a prize by conceding the obvious.
when does larger not mean larger?
i'ma try this againhow am i taking a grammer loss when you clearly don't understand what the word culture means?? i made the word "culture" larger because thats the operative word in the damn sentence..but somehow you keep missing that. i'm not talking about a group of people, bruh. i'm referencing a way of life and beliefs built around a symbol.
nevermind, bruh. you take it how ever you want, man.![]()

On a side note, L has a history of dropping corny clunkers from time to time.
He needs a Canibus type rapper to back smack him into hip-hop shape.
That's when he drops his best work.
And yes, these lyrics came out all wrong.
