LL hooks up with country artist: "Accidental Racist"

and it's only 'vague' to mutha fukas who don't really like to read or are to lazy to research sheit themselves.
niggas always make points and then when you ask them to cite what they are talking about they hit you with 'you wanna know so bad, you look it up'. cop out. you said he said the shit and i asked you what he said, simple as that.

i'm not even gonna bother responding to all that other emotional bs

'emotional'?

anytime a dude tries to deflect from his own bullsheit he accuses the other person of becoming 'emotional'. it's a tired tactic. surprised you'd even try and use it.

but since i pointed you toward securing the source material and your reply leans to the truth that you're either to lazy to do the work yourself or to cheap to buy those issues, just continue with your day secure in the fact that like-minded bgolers are now well aware that you're full of sheit

This chump lost his mind, and still over there quoting another racist, ghandi.

If the confederate flag just meant "southern pride" as many white people claim, then why are they not enraged when its flown at Klan and Skinhead rallies? Haven't gotten an answer to this question yet.

On that note, however, I'm feeling the premise of the song, but not LL's lyrics, as I believe them to be apologetic about the wrong thing. Doo rags and gold chains never had anything to do with white people...stop apologizing for who you are and what you wear!

However, a confederate flag, has meant, and does mean PLENTY to a black person...so if you knowingly fly it...you fly it KNOWING THAT SHIT. So fuck you.:smh::angry:

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

This is straight hilarious to me. This is like some April Fools joke or SNL skit. This dude is one of the GOAT lyricists in hip hop in the past 25 years imo. I see exactly what they were trying to do but they did it all types of wrong and turned it into a train wreck. I have seen comments from country fans and white folks and they love it. Black folks and hip hop fans will just not swallow this one at all. Period.

The song wasn't that bad at first for a country song but I'm not into country and not this modern pop influenced country anyway. As soon as LL started his verse it immediately went south. He didn't even fit into the song or the feel of the song. It should have been a hip hop song with country singing over it. He should have gotten Timbaland or Kanye or somebody to produce the song.

There have been some well produced hip hop tracks with country riffs or samples or whatever. That's just the song production and the mechanics. Both the country audience and the hip hop audience could have gotten into it.

LL's lyrics are where the real problems begin. Not even the lyrics but the message of the lyrics is a huge problem. You don't rap or sing admiringly about slavery or the civil war and compare that to ghetto or urban fashion. The message or concept was supposed to be about racism and racial tolerance between the races not glorifying slavery and the civil war.

If you are black and are cool with the confederate rebel flag that's more about cultural tolerance than glorifying and endorsing their culture and it's symbolism. Why would a grown black man in 2013 rap about Robert E Lee and the confederate flag and expect that just to be cool and whatever?

Serious serious lack of judgment on LL's part and a gigantic fail. Brad Paisley pretty much came out unscathed from this for the most part. His fans seem to be loving it.

It doesn't anger me so I ain't messed up. It's just a horrible career move for this dude. Yeah his sales have sagged lately but he still has a large older fan base that dude just offended with those wack lyrics. I'll still bump his old stuff though.

one of us is actually sticking to the topic. the other one is you.

i'll keep it simple

yousaid he's said shit like that before. i'm asking you what he said.

simple.

if i pose that simple question, upon which your entire argument is based, and rather than just answer the question, you get vague and confrontational and tell me to look it up...who's really deflecting?

again

you said he said it before. what did he say? where did you hear/read him say it?

so simple dude.

The song wasn't that bad, up until LL came in. LL got extra with some things. "RIP Robert E. Lee"? :smh: "Conversate"?

This nigga really is In The House now. Massa's house. :smh:

Ol big headed uncle tom.

Just imagine the outrage if a young rapper recorded a song of this ilk. You'd have these old ass niggas lambasting this current generation of rappers and young fans alike.

Fuck this old ass nigga with his 1987 flow and delivery. that shits outdated. Stick to acting.

I dunno what is more interesting; reading the lyrics to the song (not really in a rush to listen to it), or the level of mental and linguistic gymnastics some people in this thread (and other boards) go through to defend such nonsense.

Funny, how black people seem to be the only ones who have that 'in the past so forget it' and hold hands mentality tho:smh:

I see it a little different. I think we're the only ones who are told, "It's in the past....."

L is trying to expand.

You'd think by know he'd know how to do it.

I can't believe he is this stupid.

With all the buzz this dumb song is getting maybe this was calculated after all.

ummm......i already answered the question AND THEN posted that info on getting the material on the previous page. how tha fuk do u xpect yourself to be able to dig into source material when u don't have the mental capacity to follow along in a dayum thread?

fuk it. i'll even quote myself since you don't have the tools needed to follow along without a white cane :smh:

u can contact the source magazine, ebony magazine, black beat magazine and also rap sheet and inquire about back issues from 1992 and 1993. each one ran pieces on cool j with a political slant since he made history by being the first rap artist slated to perform at a presidential inauguration.

then you are actually trying to make it look like I got some kind of issue if i refuse to do so, instead of just holding up for the argument YOU were making.

yo you a bitch ass nigga man. and it's on display for everyone on bgol to see.

I just finally gave that crap a couple of listens to make sure I wasn't going crazy.

LL lost his mind on this one.

1. Who wears durags still?

2. Why the fuck is LL equating that to the confederate flag?

3. Why the fuck do you need to make a damn horrible song to fix race relations? Why not have a fucking town hall event with RAPPERS, AND COUNTRY MUSIC stars? That would of been way more effective than this crap.

4. Why is LL saying "Mr. White Man"?

I could go on.

This song is just horrible on a million, and one levels.

Campy country song, with horrible lyrics that can easily be misconstrued.

I'm ashamed of LL.

Do y'all wanna reopen that jay-z vs LL conversation now

:lol::lol::lol:

Made me spit out my whiskey.

I'm with you BiGirl and Sammy. But thanks for keeping it polite around here. Shit, they were even tripping on Uncle L on public radio. In Santa Monica.

Oh well. I never did like his ass.

u gotta be the most stupid azz beatch made poster on bgol bar none -- and that's sayin a lot considering that mental knuck draggers that trolled this site over the years. if ya lazy azz bothered to read even the last two pages u woulda been able to follow along with the convo. but a mental midget like u can't even connect two dayum pages together to get the gist of it. like a limp wrist batty man u whine 'but what did LL say in magazines interview 20 years agooooo? i don't care to read the previous page. tell meeeeee. i want the transcript'! and like i said before, his comments THEN reflected the lyrics he wrote in that western song NOW. the tone of the interviews mirrored the vibe he kicked in that western song. i even told u which publications to contact if u want to read the articles for yourself in-depth but u stomp and pout like a young kid at pre school with snot running down his nose cause u don't get your way.

yet it's somehow the next man's fault cause you're to fukin stupid or just 2 lazy to be bothered with securing the material? fuk u ya slothful mutha fuka. bum azz nickah. u ain't sheit and ya lazy azz won't ever be sheit. feel free to quote that since ya ig'nant azz is 2 lazy to get any other quote for yaself

now sit there and check out my taggin skills ya stupid fuk
