I will take LEBRON JAMES over in his PRIME over

he's played 3 more full seasons than jordan had by that age.

stop it

What's your point ? 28 is 28 the question is who is better in prime . See no one wants to debate this point cause you are looking at MJ as a whole through his entire career the 5 rings. The question is PRIME

This is not the point I'm making of course he would have throw out stats I'm talking about perception. That's why I'm saying compare them both at age 28 which is the prime, which is the original question

lebron reached his prime at 28 after being seasoned in the nba for 10 years

do you not think that jordan would have reached his prime earlier and had a longer prime run if he had been in the nba at 18?

It's his fault he was better than Jordan at a younger age? Jordan was not good enough to come straight out of Laney High and go to the pros. He wasn't Moses Malone. He needed 3 years of college. LeBron is one of the very few NBA players who did not and came out the gate dominant. He's 1 of 3 players to average 20,5, & 5 his rookie year. And the only man to average at least 26 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists for a career.

fault?
put your cape DOWN
arguing faults
against facts

fact is he came in earlier
so the age argument is stupid and useless period. use something else as a measuring stick.

See you are dodging the topic. I don't think MJ had the body at 18 to take the beating . I mean shit we all saw what the pistons did to him at age 25. Bron was physically ready at 19

lol what's the point?

if i was doing something 3 years longer than you and then you waned to try and compare accomplishments by age would you be like ok well you had a 3 year head start
but let's compare cause we're the same age?

i think not.

and jordan has 6 rings

He came in earlier because he was a better player at 18 than Jordan could ever dream about being. Jordan at age 18 was coming off the bench in Chapel Hill as a freshman, and played in the shadow of James Worthy (GASTON COUNTY!!!) and Sam "Big Smooth" Perkins. So we not supposed to acknowledge that? We supposed to discount 3 years of LeBron's HOF career because Mike wasnt good enough? Where they do that at? And I'm the one "caping"?

Spo doesn't realize that u don't need the lane clear for Lebron and Wade to function. Shit they already have proof from Wade playing with Shaq

lebron was physically ready at 19 but never had to face anything physical. that isn't a strike against lebron. its just the way it is.

now compare if jordan played today with these rules how dominate would he be?

mayne i like this guy here....

right

now its cause jordan wasn't good enough

when the argument was purely age

and when you argue age, its stupid because of experience and opportunity

then it becomes oh well its lebron fault jordan wasn't as good earlier

funny characters man.

Nothing I said was false. At age 18, Jordan did not start for his college team. And Sam Perkins and James Worthy were the leaders of that team at that time. LeBron came in at 18, 18!!!! Fresh off ESPN/SI national hype and pressure and gave you 20, 5, & 5 and a Rookie Of The Year award. By the time he was 22 (his 4th season would've been a senior in college) he had made his first Finals appearance.

We used to physically beat on the bulls so badly that Pippen didnt even want to play sometimes. That's when he started with that migraine shit.

:yes:....Scottie was a great player, but without Jordan he would have been a very good player.

I don't think if he makes the top 50 all-time list.

Damn :eek::cool:

I agree that at 18 years old Jordan was not as good a player, or better yet not developed as much as Lebron. But it didnt take long for him to close the gap and surpass him.
If youre going by rookie year stats:
Lebron 20.5 pts,5.5 rebs,5.9 ast
Jordan 28.5 pts,6.5 rebs,5.9 ast

If you go by age(approx)22.. Jordans rookie year/Lebrons 4th:
Jordan 28.5 pts,6.5 rebs,5.9 ast
Lebron 27pts,7 rebs, 7ast

Jordan avg'd over 30 ppg, 7 of his first 9 years in the league. Lebron has done it twice. Mike had 3 rings in 9years, Lebron 1..
I could go on,but I think thats enough for now

To the guys bragging about how Lebron came in the league Dominating you have to realize the East was and still is garbage and any decent team could do good in that conference. Then the Lebron fans don't like to hear how Carmelo Anthony to his team to the playoffs in the WEST where all the good teams are and getting his ROY stolen and given to Lebron. I'm gonna keep asking this question until a Lebron fan answer it.... besides checking the worst shooters on the court name 1 player Lebron ever shutdown for him to ever be considered the DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR? Before anyone says D Rose keep in mind that it took all 5 heat player to stop Rose they just put Lebron in front of him with the other 4 players waiting behind LBJ

We're not talking about teams tho, we're talking about individual performance. At age 18, LeBron was the "man" on his team (took Ricky Davis cookies) and posted 20, 5, & 5 and was ROY. When Kobe was 18, he was on the bench sitting behind Nick the Quick and Eddie Jones. See the difference? One came in dominating, the other was a scrub his first year. Its not as easy as you think.

Then the Lebron fans don't like to hear how Carmelo Anthony to his team to the playoffs in the WEST where all the good teams are and getting his ROY stolen and given to Lebron.

So basically any player that plays in the West no matter how sorry will be better than a player in the East? Because its "harder"? LMAO. What kinda logic is that? Wade's team made the playoffs too as a rookie, I don't see you in here crying for him. He got less votes than both of them. By the way, what awards has Carmelo Anthony ever won in the NBA for you to be feeling like he was robbed of something?

Paul Pierce, the same guy who won a Finals MVP over your boy Kobe and beat the Lakers by 39 points in 08.

Your Celtics just lost to the Bobcats. Gave up 25 points, 18 rebounds to Byron Mullens. Wilt #'s.

That was very predictable...after playing triple overtime the night before.

I knew KG and Pierce would have limited legs....

But enjoy the victory...matter fact, hang up a banner for it...the rafters there seem rather empty:lol:

Heat rafters: 1.5 chips and a Jordan jersey.

How in the hell can that even be debated? So you mean to tell me that Tracy McGrady was good enough to come out of high school and go straight to the pros, but the GOAT wasn't?

GTFOH. That's such a subjective statement that it's hard to take serious.

awe? yes

marvel? yes

fear? no

That's the thing why not the fear?

I think the fear mike gave opposing players and coaches was because Mike had the whistle on his side

You breathe on Mike wrong and it was a foul

Lebron gets mugged and refs act nonchalant about it

Fear because Mike could beat you in so many ways. Didn't matter if you double or triple teamed him. People fear the unknown. He was unpredictable. James's game is very predictable. Not saying many can stop him but he's very predictable.

How is James game predictable? Explain that

Carmelo is predictable

Durant is predictable

When you are a "complete" player ain't shit predictable about your game because a scout report can adequate plan for that...

Why does Kobe get no props as a once elite defender even though he was 9 time first team All-NBA Defense Team? Plus 4 years on the 2nd team?

Kobe is by no means an elite defender and never was

League been giving his ass spots for years

Watch Kobe in his prime who was he shutting down?

Wade has been a better defender than Kobe for yrs

Naw man. Look at the disrepectful shit that cats like K.G. and Paul Pierce do to Lebron during games. They were clowning Lebron hard during that series (which to his credit he came back and made those muthafuckas pay for it) Cats would never even think about doing shit like that Jordan because he was giving people the business since he was a rookie.

Because those awards are often popularity contests because half those first team awards should have gone to the better (less known) SG.

Lebron is so much better than Kobe as a defender that it's disrespectul to even compare the two.
