When I said they signed him to fail, I mean they never intended for him to meet the quota so he could get the 6 million dollars... By failing they don't have to pay him shit... Of course they wanted to sell units, but just enough to make a profit not enough to get him paid and them to have to share their cut..
i disagree with you here. wiz and 50 are both bigger than chief keef. the reason for them to be on it was to make keef more mainstream. keef blew that shit him damn self by not showing up at the video shoot. pernt blank. right now keef still a hood rapper and he could have been bigger if he doesn't fuck up. chief keef thinks he dont need no help cause he brought himself there. but if you want to go mainstraim u need all the help u can get. hell ross and gucci still hoodrappers and look how much money got invested in them.

Reese ain't even on the album aside from I Don't Like and Durk not on it either. Both of them artists are on Def Jam/GBE so I guess that's where politics come into play but they also GBE. GBE had no presence on his album.
You can't fake chemistry and if you listen to them songs with Rozay, Jeezy, Fif? Them shits don't even sound like real records. But that's the labels feeling like consumers are stupid and don't know better.
I disagree. I feel like record labels in 2013 are outdated and they still trying to use that formula that was used in 1998. THe game has changed and labels haven't adapted. Niggas like Maybach Music and Keef's label get how to produce albums. All a label can do for these dudes is distribute the record. THey can't promote the album like these niggas can, they can't do it on a budget like these niggas can.....its easy to write them off because they hood niggas but they not stupid.

No matter how dudes feel about the music Keef makes you have to admire his squad's loyalty and their unity they have. All that tough talkin' shit they do? That shit doesn't impress me. But the way they move? The way they stand by each other? I respect it. And most people should.

As much as I hate to admit it Jimmy and Interscope wanted this cat to win. I didn't know they gave him that kind of deal. It was set up for him to WIN. And it still is. But he fucked up not doing his videos and promotion.

It wasn't a tough goal. It was tough for Keef because he didn't have the sense to follow Interscope and instead wanted to do his own thing which is not uncommon for a stubborn 17 year old. I could see if the goal was a 1 million records but 250? Fabolous can sell 250k. Meek did that with no hit singles.

Its not just the numbers that fuck them up, but all the loopholes for example he may be required X amount of hours to promote his record and by being in jail he may not be able to do it, so even if he does get to 250 they would say that he failed to promote the record and label... They do stupid shit like that, just giving him a due date to get to 250 doesn't seem right at all..
