I'd like to know that too. They ain't even selling because of Penny though. In the 90's yea but now I bet all those cats who stand in line for them don't even remember or even know who Penny Hardaway is. IMO, it was Jordans 1 then Penny 2 in the 90's as far as popularity and shoes go.

You're definitely right, I saw him in a couple of spots earlier this year showing Galaxy Foams and other unreleased Foams so he still gets paid and has ties to Nike.
 
Foamposites are great because they were ahead of their time and not everyone was wearing them because of their price. Plus for $180 and then $200, they lasted forever. Other than the carbon fiber plate getting loose they last forever. I have ones over ten years old that still look great. Not too sure about the new ones.

I'm pretty much over them, because now they're Dunks or Air Force Ones. Gentry has whored them out with too many released and wack and feminine colors.

So basically foamposiites started with penny ...I remember those blue shell looking penny's that's cost like 250 back in the days...shits were ugly,,,you think penny is getting paper off these foams?

Yep the original Foamposites are Penny's signature shoes. They were originally gonna be Pippen's shoes but he wasn't that big of a fan of them. Supposedly Penny saw them in a Nike designers bag and loved them requesting that the shoe be his signature shoe. Pippen later wore the Foamposite Pros...the Foams with the Nike Check on the side.

I would say in the late 90s it was Jordans...then Pippens then grant hills then iversons ans then penny's.

Pippen would have been a fool to switch from Flights... I have all of pippens shits,,,even the AIRS that everyone had in every nasty colorway but no one harldly had the official pippen AIRS...they were all white .

Up until I saw the yellow foams in person I was never a fan.. Now I own a couple pairs and I'm looking to build on that collection. I'll probably never wear them but that's true for 85% of my shoes - I rock Converse on a daily basis :dance:
