I don't know much about what is going on with the Django movie. I'm looking around to see what the problem with it is.... I really don't go to movies anyway, so I won't see it. Although I don't think of 'progressive black folks' when i think of Jamie Foxxx, can someone break down what the beef with the movie is? Because white people are behind it? Are they making slavery a joke or some kind of action movie like it was never really real... Kind of like making an action movie about the Holocaust? Can someone break it down?
Love spike for saying this, and i agree 100%. Tarrantino is going to take slavery, which is vastly underrepresented in major motion pictures, and turn it into a 2 hour looney tune cartoon. When jamie foxx got on tv and said this would be the Roots of this generation I wanted to smack him.
