Meek Mill has taken to his Twitter account to address Cassidy after the veteran Philadelphia emcee accepted his $100,000 rap battle offer live on radio.

Meek Mill stated that what he originally said about battling Cassidy or Murda Mook in his Battle Rap video blog was misconstrued. The Dreams And Nightmares rapper then sent some harsh words toward Cassidy (but not directly), saying that’s he’s popping and he won’t battle anybody that’s not popping (obviously referring to Cassidy).http://rapdose.com/2012/11/03/meek-mill-responds-to-cassidy-accepting-his-100000-rap-battle-offer

Nawl, don't be fooled. He KNOWS Cassidy would destroy him so he don't wanna end up looking bad as a result. And most of his fans who aren't familiar w/Cassidy will eat this shit up but those that know knows otherwise.

He's from Philly, he knows better. Mook is poppin?

Mothafucka wants those easy Boy Scout badges.

Nigga get that light and start believing the hype too. Cassidy's name should have never been uttered. Mook is what he has always been... a sparring partner compared with champs.

thats i thought he said he wanted cassidy and mook to battle......

i think ur right.

he was trying to put 100 up ad get some sponsors behind that battle.

and the internet, including most of us in that other thread made it something else.

he was trying to pull a smack move and get paid to promote a big battle and all cats wanted to talk about was that cassidy would kill him. so he's like fuck reaching back ill get back to my career...

Not a meek fan but I understand why he's backtracking. It's a lose-lose situation for him. If he wins, he beat a washed up rapper although he gets a lil kudos from purest who're just going to download his shit and not come to his shows.

If he loses, he's outs a damper on his buzz and reignites the career of a rapper thats cold right now. I would ask to be paid if I were him.

meek mill doing the best michael jackson impression ever...moonwalking his ass away from dat battle

not ridin with Ross, the guy responsible for him eating right now, and backing out after Cassidy accepted his rap battle challenge.

this guy is really starting to look like a ho ass nigga.:smh::smh:

he did ask to be paid.

And whats wrong with igniting someone elses career, especially if you like them and have respect for them.

And contrary to popular belief, losing battles don't put dampers on careers.

Kool Moe Dee- no one ever said he lost, and many said he won- but he didn't make a great second record.

Shan... well, people just discovered he wasn't that great, and I don't remember any records from him after the so called battle. The whole juice crew went on to do great things.

LL supposedly lost to Canibus, but he kept making hits, and Canibus dropped a dud.

Jay "lost" according to most- he's doing better than ever.

Freeway kept going and is still going. People really didn't like his voice for a whole album. The battle never mattered. It helped Cassidy get on, but Freeway had a more relevant and long lasting career. Cassidy actually NEEDS this to get back on.

50 and Ja RUle may be the only one that mattered, but that wasn't really a rap battle. People just got tired of Ja RUle.

50 lost to Kanye, Rick Ross, Jay Z, and a few others, but he really just-- fell off on his own.

Battles are battles. If you even stand up to get in one, I respect you for it. Well, if you show ANY real level of skill at it, I don't care if you "lose".

Especially if it's warranted.

Ironic isn't it

Nigga was in a YouTube vid wit Cassidy rapping looking hungry and a fuckin bum yet cass was there with the nigga free styling chopping it up

Now that this clown nigga somewhat made it all of a sudden he ain't battling niggas that's not poppin?

That's the hoe ass niggas that need to be called out

yall act like cassidy is at the top of his game right now.

when the last time any of yall heard heat from dude?

he dropped a single like a month ago that nobody even heard.

prolly an unknown rapper in every hood that has been writing and battling ninjas and freestyling in ciphers every day for the last 5 years that would body any established mainstream or battle rapper in the game.

ur mind has to be sharp to battle. people sleep on that aspect of it. even tho its 90% written material, u gotta commit those bars to memory, u gotta be sharp enough to slip some off the head shit in there between written bars. u gotta know how to work the crowd and when to spit which bar. cassidy and meek are prolly both rusty as hell. so if u start getting money and touring and doing harder drugs and partying more im sure the hunger and mental clarity needed to battle is no longer there anymore.

so cass and meek seeing dudes that they coulda destroyed back in the day get love and respect prolly ignites that flame a lil bit but at the end of the day its prolly not enough motivation to get back in fighting shape. nah fuck that its definitely not...

Jay did lose to Nas an still not better than him

50 and Ja shit was personal and before they even had deals... It wasn't so much peeps got tired of hearing Ja rule

And this meek night a clown and a half, then to say he ain't battling nights that's not popping when it was the same nigga that was largely a credit to even getting hi name out there is some hoe shit

you're right but you make these dudes sound like ol geezers:lol::lol::lol:

It could potentialy be a corny disaster ala Canibus (no pun intended with Diz)

but it could wake them up and be epic.

Actually Meek appears to be really sharp right now.

It'd be a good look for the game overall, plus open up a new revenue stream in rap. Some guys will never sell a shit load of records, but if this battles side is legitimized to bring in big numbers the guys that do well in that aspect can be significant

meek been feeling himself lately. i mean dude just launched an album and made more $$ in 2012 than some people will make in their career. thats overwhelming.

he need one of his og's to pull his collar and tell him to stop all that fakin n settle down but when when ur boss is the biggest boss that u've seen thus far...well...not likely.
