Sooo.....I made the switch to the S3...

I was using CM10 Nightlies Until I found the Frosty Version for T-Mobile customers.

That's kewl, but I'm on a Note on AT&T.
But enjoy toying with different ROMs just be sure to do a nandroid backup in your recovery before installing new shit so u can go back. Also get Titanium Backup to keep your apps and data backed up with all these installs.

Jagu, are you on the GS3 now?

Yep, almost two weeks and I am keeping it.

It makes Iphone look like a fisher price product. Yes, I phone is a little bit more fluid but the features and speed of the GS3 is adult grade.

Jelly Bean Coming Soon

How many times have we heard that Samsung’s (005930) popular Galaxy S III smartphone would be getting upgraded to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean any day now? Well, a lot of times. But now Android Guys has spotted some notifications on Samsung’s official support pages showing that Galaxy S III users on Sprint (S), AT&T (T), Verizon (VZ), T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular are all slated to get an upgrade to Jelly Bean that is “coming soon.” Whether “soon” means this week or the end of the month is impossible to tell, but American Galaxy S III owners can take solace that their long wait for Jelly Bean is nearly over. Probably.

Are people having issues playing flash videos on this phone?

nope... might be the site your visiting... but stock browser plays everything fine for me... Chrome doesn't support flash, sucks I have to keep both browsers until sites switch to HTML 5...

ALL flash sites and embeds play for me smoothly with full control.

Now... lets talk about Tmobile and Metropcs combining. :hmm:

I assume that means LTE for us.... or is it some bullshit stunt?

She has to install Adobe flash from the play site

Got it as a replacement, I love the battery life on this already...im going a day, 3hrs since my last charge. On my other phone, the screen used up damn near 60% of the battery

Only downside, samsung has crappy default sounds. And I miss the lockscreen clock from HTC

i installed the adobe apk file on her phone, and when i go to a site, using dolphin, all i see is a blue cube where the video should. Flash is enabled in the dolphin settings.

edit: never mind. got it.

It looks like Android Jelly Bean will finally be hitting one of the most prolific phones in the United States. Samsung has finally acknowledged that a Jelly Bean update is on its way to U.S. Galaxy S3s.

A Samsung update page lists the Jelly Bean update as "Coming Soon!" for AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile, and U.S. Cellular. These are the five carriers that offer the Samsung Galaxy S3 in the United States.

Leaked ROMS of the Jelly Bean update have been available for a while, but for those who wouldn't like to void their phone, this is good news.

Official Android 4.1 Jelly Bean updates have started rolling out internationally around a week ago. The first (and only country so far) to receive it has been Poland. More will follow, and it's a good bet that Galaxy S3 owners worldwide will all have the Jelly Bean update by the end of the year.

For a real-time updated check out YouMobile.

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is not a complete overhaul to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but it offers some noticeable improvements. Jelly Bean will introduce a smoother interface without the stutters that often plague Ice Cream Sandwich, and a Siri-like voice assistant dubbed Google Now.

Samsung is also planning on updating its other popular phones such as the Galaxy S2 and the Galaxy Note. Samsung recently listed 16 devices, including a few tablets that will receive an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update. Samsung's Galaxy Note 2 will ship with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean right out of the box.

Yea Jellybean will be coming out sometime this month.
The main upgrades are the "project butter" smoothness & Google now search.
Verizon will probably be the last carriers to send out the Jellybean update.

will i have to re root it if i uograde it normally when jb comes out?

No I have jumped from developer roms back to stock roms, does nothing to rooting. Only if you o-din into the phone and flash over the root. If you don't know wtf I'm talking about, then don't worry. You will not lose root. You can go back and forth as many times as you want.

So i'm 2days in and this giant phone is growing on me, Quick question, I see that on the SIII there is a built in option for tethering, on my jailbroken iphone, i had an app that would hide my tethering from ATT, will this SIII option show ATT that i am tethering? will i need to root to hide it?

@Coco, Play with Dolphin for a day or two....it's the best one out there IMO, tons of features and tools...

Thanks in advance!
