Two last things now that I've watched the entire Raw

JBL was rough Sunday but by the second hour he was on fire on Raw. Most three man teams suck but that one with Cole/JBL/Ross was pretty decent for their first time together. He just needs to cut back on telling every title and organization every guy ever worked for. I like him building guys up like their important (something the company should do anyway) but he was going crazy with it at first.
Oh yeah, he still doesnt like Miz.

Love him, hate him or whatever, Cena fucked up his ankle and still worked a long match with Punk and worked hard in a tag match the next night when he could have taken it easy and let Sheamus work the whole match. He's one of the hardest working guys in the business.
They should have saved him and Punk fighting in the tag match until the end but that's another booking mistake not his or Punk's fault.

JBL can go overboard when it comes to wrestling history but as you said when he found his zone he was great.

Cena is the definition of workhorse and he gets much respect just like they all should, my gripe is when they try and make it seem like he's the only one busting his ass especially when the ones who make far less grind just as hard.

They've just thrown away 1 year of Punk winning every match by
clean pinfall for the sake of an angle like we haven't all seen those matches. Punk wasn't asking the fans for respect, he was the number two face easily (number one is a lot of ways), he is supposed to be demanding respect from management. But then people might see his point and Cena wouldn't get any cheers because he would look like a corporate stooge.

so Tara is the female CM Punk now it seems

Tara/Tessmacher is a more natural teacher/student feud but I don't know why they took Mickie James' heel turn from her and put it on Tara.

Those that remember Fire Pro Wrestling, the XBLA avatar edition was released today. You can download the free trial and try it out.

Big Shaq challenging Aces and Eights. Pretty good.

The Joey Ryan thing is hot. They have to have him wrestle Snow at BFG, they have to.

Daniels (with his appletinis) and Kazarian- World tag team champions of the world. A joke that just won't stop being funny to me.

Please watch Doug Williams two knees he hit that kid with, just brutal and stiff.

TOP WWE DIVA LEAVING COMPANY
by Mike Johnson @ 7:18 PM on 9/21/2012

Beth Phoenix has given notice to WWE that she is leaving the company and is finishing up her dates. Phoenix is expected to leave the company by the end of October.
Phoenix took time off over the summer for a death in the family.

WWE sources indicated they weren't surprised to see that Phoenix had given notice as she seemed to be "going through the motions" over the last year.

Phoenix was signed to the company in 2005 and debuted in 2006 on the Raw brand. Phoenix was on the shelf for some time after fracturing her jaw on live TV, but returned over the summer of 2007. She quickly moved into the top slot as one of the best in-ring performers on the Divas side of the company. She held both the WWE Women's and WWE Divas title and was the second women to work the Royal Rumble bout.

Should she decide to work outside of WWE, Phoenix would retain ownership of her ring name, as she used it prior to her WWE run.

Wow. TNA needs not fuck around and have her in no later than January. Play out whatever they're doing with Tessmacher, Tara, Mickie, Gail, and Madison and get her in there with them quick.

I hope she can still be Beth Phoenix but Devon and Bubba were the Dudleys for years and look what happened to them.

I thought she was retiring because of her knees but it might just be her having a case of burnout. As for Smackdown that was a great ending tonight and Kane/DB were definitely the highlight throughout the night.

While she still might, if she was retiring, it would make more sense to do it while with WWE instead of leaving. That easier TNA schedule will look very tempting, if it doesn't already, for Beth.
When she sees Gail Kim get time to work and made to look important while she and good workers like Natalya and (the vastly improved) Alicia Fox get shit while a still raw Kaitlyn gets pushed ahead of them, it has to make those knees feel even worse.
Too bad she's leaving without getting to work with Sara Del Ray even once.

DB and Kane have made chicken salad out of chicken shit and deserve a lot of credit. Kane, for a veteran this late in his career, is having a great year even with that damn wig on.

Kane has always been a fan favorite mainly because he get's shitty storylines and does his best to still entertain, he will always get props for having the guts to follow through with the "Katie Vick" disaster:smh: I swear Vince is a sick fuck:angry:

WWE Considering Bringing The Nexus Back?

By Ryan Clark on September 21, 2012

WWE officials have reportedly discussed the possibility of bringing back the Nexus. The company was reportedly “shocked” when they heard fans doing Nexus chants on RAW during the Wade Barrett vs. Justin Gabriel match and one of the top stories on WWE.com was one about whether Barrett might reunite the group.

A source in the company said, “The only reason for putting up a top story on the website about a glorified squash match is to hear more from the fans.”

Officials feel it would give Barrett a chance to lead the stable again and would showcase him to look as strong as they can and the Nexus brand sold a ton of merchandise. The company plans to see if the Nexus chants continue and are working on ideas for if they move ahead.

When ever Barrett gets a world title run it may be benefit him. But right now they should just continue to focus on pushing him a top heel. If they do bring back Nexus back hopefully they have guys who are more than just jobbers.

Some pics of the Bella twins.

I'm a big fan of Barrett, the guy is world title material, but I don't see the benefit of bringing back Nexus. WWE dropped the ball three times with two versions of Nexus and the Corre and I don't see what they'll do different.

I'd love to see Beth either return to Shimmer or do some work in Chikara. At the very least, she'll get 10+ minutes matches in front of an appreciative crowd.

I don't get it either especially when they have jobbed the hell out of the former members so they are all considered weak and 3rd tier guys now.

At this point that's the only way we're going to get the Beth Phoenix- Awesome Kong match we were anticipating.

Every single one of them. They even sent Husky Harris, one of the better workers from the outset, back to FCW. They killed Nexus and have no one to blame but themselves. Even now, David Otunga was starting to show real improvement in the ring and had embraced his take on the "Masterpiece" gimmick but he's back to getting squashed on Raw and Smackdown after coming back from doing their movie.

Watched TNA this past Thursday.Call me crazy, but if they want to make this Aces and 8 thing dope, make Brooke the person behind them. Similar to when WWF had Stephanie do the marriage angle with Triple H.

If Brooke was as good an actress as Stephanie, that would be interesting.
But she could be part of it without being the head of it. Not a bad idea at all.

I don't get why they sent Husky down though in my eyes it worked out for him. He's injured right now but the character he was doing right before his injury Bray Wyatt is a good one that I could see them giving a push to.

And it's sad because the Nexus guys looked strong within the faction so that when it ended they had guys who had credibility as long as they didn't completely job them out. But the WWE in their wisdom completely ruined all of them by having them lose 2 minute matches to damn near everybody week after week or when they were lucky enough to get on TV. And to think that Heath Slater had a competitive match with Edge at one time and is a multi-time Tag champ considering what they've subsequently done with him.

As for Otunga they always do that. Have the main co-conspirator and crony of the evil GM look strong as hell but once they're no longer in that spot they go back to damn near being a jobber for everybody on the mid card. They did the same thing with Val Venis when he was working under Bischoff.

At least with Val, he was a veteran on the down side. Otunga has shown some real growth but how will they ever make money with him if he's getting killed every week.

The great thing is that they don't care about that at all from what I can see. They even job out the guys that they're trying to take to the next level like every MITB winner since Edge and Kennedy. Hell they even job out the guys like Zach Ryder who are making money for them.

I don't know what they really want to do anymore and I don't think that they do either.

I agree. Dolph has the MitB briefcase, Randy Orton is about to take time off to make a movie but they had Orton win. Stupid. He should be past the "has great matches with everybody" level and start beating people.

If they were smart they'd bring Muta over around December and build him up to face the Undertaker at Wrestlemania.

That's a main event to hardcore fans and even with this much head start, the current creative team couldnt build Muta up enough for a match that big. While there are a couple guys I would like in that match, it's most likely Brock.

Speaking of Kane and DB, what makes them work is they combine comedy with great violence, like beating Sandow with those chairs on SD. It's still a business built around violence. When it's just cheap laughs, it gets old and the wrestler only goes so far (Santino, Eric Young, Zack Ryder, Rikishi).
I did hate them destroying the entire tag division though.:hmm:

Right now it seems like Brock is being positioned for a rematch with HHH at Mania. If that's the case I don't what they'll do with Taker unless they put Mark Henry in that spot when he gets back or maybe build up Sandow for the spot.

I like Sandow but :smh: for that match. I do think he and HHH will finish what they started with the angle they shot at the 1000 show with DX. Between now and Mania, if they do a HHH-Brock rematch, I think they'll do it at Survivor Series or the Rumble.

The problem is that you KNOW the Undertaker will win against whoever they put against him. It's a matter of the best matchup. I think the following year will UT/Cena, and Cena/Rock will probablly be the rematch at the next 'mania. Depending on when they want to do the Rock/Cena rematch, you could have him face the Rock in '13 and Cena the year after.

If Rock faces Cena at 'mania then maybe Punk or Brock faces the Undertaker.

say goodbye to another WWE Diva:

beth-phoenix-11.jpg

Earlier this week, Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported that Beth Phoenix gave notice to WWE officials and is set to leave the company at the end of October.

While a top Diva leaving the WWE is certainly newsworthy, news of Phoenix's departure is hardly as much of a significant loss today than, say, if this story would have broken this time last year.

The WWE Divas have been buried under the oversaturation of television content since Raw moved to three hours, and lost in the Diva obscurity has been Beth Phoenix. She has been seen scarcely on WWE TV, as of late, due the former Divas champion taking time off following a death in her family.

Phoenix's presence in the Divas division added legitimacy to an often-embattled genre of WWE competition. Under the recently defunct John Laurinaitis era of talent relations, the WWE moved toward training models to be wrestlers in a hit-or-miss initiative that often took away from the quality of in-ring wrestling once made evident by the likes of Trish Stratus, Molly Holly and Lita.

Phoenix was anything but a trained model, and instead, infused a presence in women's wrestling unseen since the days of Bull Nakano and former Intercontinental and Women's Champion Chyna.

Phoenix's above-average frame made her a candidate to compete in inter-gender competition as she became only the second woman to enter the Royal Rumble match in 2010 and holds a pinfall victory over male WWE Superstar Santino Marella.

After signing Kharma in 2010, the WWE appeared to be serious about reinvigorating the Divas division as a dream feud between Phoenix and Kharma seemed all but certain.

The feud, and match, never happened following Kharma's unexpected pregnancy and quiet subsequent release. Phoenix's de-emphasis and departure sealed the fate for a rivalry that could have rewritten women's wrestling in the WWE.

Phoenix's seven-year tenure with the WWE is a lifetime in Diva years. Traditionally, top WWE Divas leave their craft just as they're beginning to cement their legacies as premier performers. Phoenix's legacy, as a pretty, yet punishing, diva who carried a division, was cemented long before her impending exit.

With Phoenix gone, the talent pool in the WWE Divas division has shrunk—significantly.

Currently a rebuilding project under a television model that has done it no favors, thus far, one has to wonder if Beth Phoenix leaving the WWE is an ominous sign of things to come for its Divas.

If Rock faces Cena at 'mania then maybe Punk or Brock faces the Undertaker.

If they choose to do the "Once in a Lifetime" match two years in a row (:smh:) then I would like Punk to get the Taker match but I would hate for Punk to lose. On the other hand, Brock could get it and him losing would be poetic justice and Vince loves to play those type of games.
