Re: Marvel Boss Talks 'Black Panther' Movie, Says It's Difficult To Create World, Set
If you can do Harry Potter, Lord of the rings,Narnia and Avatar, you can Eff'n do this movie.
However, Hollywood, behind the scene's, is not the color of most people on this board. there is no cultural bond or benefit of the doubt given to african american scripts/movies.
With that said there is not going to be a return on their investment overseas on a film that not only highlights the technological superiority or an African civilization, but to responsibly show how intellectual, powerful, creative and scholarly that group of people would have to be would stop any executive in their tracks. They are not ready for that.
Look how long it took Disney to "give" African American's a cartoon feature. Even in that the Brown girl did not get a brown guy. Some -ish just ain't gonna play unless African Americans finace it themselves and don't worry about the finacial return. Sad to say, but true.

The only benefit of the doubt I'll throw to these CACs is that their simple ass aren't willing to depict certain civilizations in the Motherland as more advanced than anything the Stark family has ever created.
They'd have to build an entire secret kingdom fully of advanced technology. thinking with skilled scholars & superbly gifted Black folk controlling & ruling their own destinies in a place where they SUCCESSFULLY PROTECT ALL of their most precious resources, THEN sell it as an Int'l brand & product, going into worldwide markets & making sure it translates successfully.
They may be hesitant to try & do this on a worldwide scale thinking that they will lose money by not selling the blond blue eyed hero which always translate into successful ventures.
Some ole BruceLee shit b4 he went home & got the love from his people when the US was giving him shit & when him & his family were dead broke.

marvel doesn't want to spend money on a black action movie because it won't make money internationally. its going to cost at least 100 million to produce and another 50 mill to promote. do you think disney going to take that kind of risk after john carter?
Uh...avatar?
What he meant to say is. It is difficult to create wakanda on the little ass budget they would be sure to get for working on a black movie.
